The Asian 920 Lathe offers an inexpensive solution for persons wanting acapable machine without having to dip into “Johnny’s College Fund”. TheAsian 920 Lathes are assembled from components originating in variousChinese factories. These components generally converge and areassembled and adjusted at one Main Chinese Factory and the finishedproduct exported and sold by many retail outlets with or without variousaccessories and under various Brand Names, associated Colors andaftermarket support. There is some consensus that these machines arereferred to by hobbyists and metal working enthusiasts as “Kit Lathes”because the fit, finish and assembly may be somewhat incomplete andrough. However, the person willing to invest some “Sweat Equity” may fitand finish one of these machines to a point rivaling equipment costingmany times that which was invested. This is not to say that thesemachines are incapable of running right out of the box; most of them do.
!!!!WARNING!!!!For your own safety read all instruction andsafety manuals before operating anyequipment you may use. Understand allsafety issues related to your equipment.Read section one, “Safety”, of the GrizzlyG4000 instruction manual before you attemptto use any Asian 9x20 lathe.
