The word ‘vegan’ (pronounced VEE-gan)comes from the ﬁrst three and last twoletters of the word vegetarian. A vegandoes not eat, wear or use anything thatderives from animals. This includes allmeats, eggs, dairy products, honey, fur,silk, leather and wool, along with anyproducts containing animal-derivedingredients.
