SIMPLE CONDITIONAL TENSE

FORMAO: VERBO AUXILIAR (WOULD) + VERBO PRINCIPAL (NO INF. SEM O TO) Ex.: to run - ran - run = correr, concorrer, dirigir I would run (Eu correria) You would run He/She/It would run We would run You would run They would run Henry said he would be here at five. (Henry disse que estaria aqui s cinco.)

CONTRACTIONS: I would go = I'd go. (Eu iria.)

NEGATIVE FORM: I would not go = I wouldn't go.

QUESTION FORM: Would I go?

CONDITIONAL PERFECT TENSE

FORMAO: VERBO AUXILIAR (TO HAVE no condicional) + VERBO PRINCIPAL (no "past participle") Ex.: to come - came - come = vir I would have come (Eu teria vindo) You would have come He/She/It would have come We would have come You would have come They would have come

Kennedy would have been more famous if he hadn't died. (Kennedy seria mais famoso se no tivesse morrido.) The secretary would have written all the letters if she had had time. (A secretria teria escrito todas as cartas se tivesse tido tempo.) If you had asked her, she would have prepared a good meal. (Se voc tivesse lhe perguntado, ela teria preparado uma boa refeio.)
