MATERI AJAR REPORT The definition of report? A text which presents information about something, as it is and as result of systematic observation and analysis. The function of the report? To provide information about natural and non natural phenomena How many part of text does report text have? Report text has two parts of the text. They are general classification and description. General classification is used to tell what is going to be described in the text. Description is used to tell the parts, behavior, quality, or quantity of something described Listening Script! AN ELEPHANT An Elephant is a rare mammal herbivore. There are two types of an elephant. Indian Elephants and African Elephants. Indian elephants are smaller and African elephants are the biggest land animal. They can live to be eighty A baby Elephant is called a calf. A newborn Elephant weighs about 110 kg. It is covered in hair. Baby elephants stay in the group until they are about ten years old. An Elephants trunk is really a nose. They use their trunk to drink. They breathe through the trunk. They also use the tru nk to break branches and to pick up food. Adult Elephants eat in the morning and evening. They eat lots of leaves and grass. They use their trunk to suck up water and then squirt it in their mouth. African Elephants live in grasslands and forests. Indian Elephants live in jungles. Their habitats are being destroyed Elephants are beautiful animals. People must save their habitat and protect them. Without this help all the worlds Elephants will die. Listening and Speaking Script! THE LIONS Lions are wild animals that eat meat. It means that lions are carnivores. Lions are magnificent animals that appear as a symbol of power, courage and nobility and national flags in many civilizations. Wild lions currently exist in Africa and in Asia with a critically endangered remnant population. Lions live for ten to fourteen years in the wild, while in captivity they can live longer than twenty years. In the wild, males seldom live longer than ten years, as injuries sustained from continual fighting with rival males greatly reduce their longevity. They typically inhabit savanna and grassland, although they may take to bush and forest. Lions are unusually social compared to other cats. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males. Groups of female lions typically hunt together, preying mostly on large ungulates, such as Zebras, Deers, and Buffalos. Lions are apex and keystone predators. Visually, the male lion is highly distinctive and is easily recognized by its mane. Mature male lions are unique among the cat species for the thick mane of brown or black hair encircling the head and neck. Both male and female lions roar, a sound which can be heard as far as 8 kilometers away. However, Male lions are bigger than female lions.

Motivasi Melakukan tanya jawab yang berhubungan dengan materi yang akan di bahas Menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dicapai.

Kegiatan Inti (70) 1. Eksplorasi Curah pendapat (Brain storming) mengenai Animal Reportdengan cara menunjukan gambar-gambar yang berhubungan dengan Animal Report. Siswa menyimak pengertian report secara umum yang dijelaskan oleh guru. Siswa melihat gambar yang berhubungan dengan Animal Report yang diperlihatkan oleh guru. 2. Elaborasi Diperdengarkan teks monolog An Elephant, secara bersama-sama, siswa melafalkan kata-kata sulit yang terdapat dalam tekstersebut secara tepat. Setelah mendengarkan teks monolog, secara bersama-sama, siswa dapat menirukan kalimat yang terdapat di teks tersebut. Diperdengarkan teks monolog An Elephant kembali, secara individual, siswa mengidentifikasi informasi tersirat yang terdapat dalam teks monolog Animal Report dengan menjawab pertanyaan dengan benar. Diperdengarkan teks monolog An Elephant, secara individual, siswa memilih dengan tepat pernyataan benar (true) atau salah (false) sesuai teks monolog Animal Report yang didengar. Diperdengarkan teks monolog The Lion, secara individual, siswa melengkapi paragraf rumpang tentang Animal Report dengan memilih kata-kata yang disediakan dalam kotak secara benar dan berterima. Siswa dapat mendemonstrasikan teks monolog The Lion yang sudah diperdengarkan secara lisan didepan kelas dengan tepat dan berterima. 3. Konfirmasi Menegaskan pemahaman tentang tujuan dari teks Animal Reportyang sesuai dengan konteks kehidupan seharihari. Menegaskan jawaban soal-soal latihan.

Kegiatan Penutup (5) Membuat rangkuman secara bersama-sama tentang teks monolog pendek berbentuk Animal Report yang sesuai dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Memberikan tugas terstruktur untuk memperdalam materi yang telah dipelajari dengan mencari contoh teks Animal Report dan menceritakan kembali teks tersebut sesuai konteks dalam kehidupan sehari-hari (homework). Memberikan motivasi kepada siswa. Mengakhiri kegiatan pembelajaran dengan salam.
