GEORGE as MAYOR
- a leadership style
As Mayor of North Shore City, George believes he would have a strong responsibility to bring councillors together as a unified body. George Wood believes in fair play. He is very conscious of the need to maintain openness and transparency in council affairs. He will look closely at why the current council holds so much business in committee - with the public and the media excluded from council chambers. He has no ties nor is involved in central or-local government politics so George can enter the mayoral office with an open mind. Once elected, he intends to work tirelessly on behalf of all sections of the North Shore community. Ideas which show merit for our mutual benefit, will be promoted vigorously. George believes the Major's role is to actively and energetically support North Shore City's interest.
Authorised by George Wood

George and Myra will work together handling the many and varied civic duties and functions required of a Mayor and Mayoress. They complement each other with their social skills and Myra, who has a friendly and outgoing personality, shows genuine concern for the wellbeing of others. With George's stability and sincerity they make a good team.
