NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Michigan Department of Transportation will hold a joint public hearing with the City of Detroit Department of Public Works on their respective Operating License Agreements with M-1 RAIL and M-2 RAIL, each a Michigan nonprofit corporation, as required by Section 13 of the Nonprofit Street Railway Act, 1867 PA 35, MCL 472.13, on the following date, at the following time, and at the following location: Date Wednesday, January 22, 2014 Time 5:00PM Location Detroit Public Library Main Branch 5201 Woodward Avenue Detroit, MI 48202

The public hearing will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6 p.m. The Operating License Agreements include the licenses and general terms and conditions for the streetcar system to operate in the public roadway. The streetcar consists of a 3.3-mile, fixed-rail, atgrade system located entirely within the rights-of-way of Woodward Avenue from Larned Street in downtown Detroit to Chandler Street/Delaware Street, north of Grand Boulevard in the city of Detroit, Wayne County. Warren Ave., Detroit, MI 48207; and City of Highland Park Offices, 12050 Woodward Ave., Highland Park, MI 48203 A court reporter will record the hearings formal presentation and public comment session, and will be available to take comments in private for inclusion in the public hearing transcript.
