Background
sported. has been created by Sir Keith Mills, who was the Chief Executive of the London 2012 Olympic bid team and Deputy Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Games (LOCOG). Inspired by his experience running Londons successful bid, Mills has made a personal commitment to delivering the legacy of the Games by setting up an organisation that aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people through sport.

Mission
To provide capacity building support and financial resources to community sport organisations, enabling them to reach and improve the lives of more disadvantaged young people than ever before

sported opened for membership mid March 2012. 200 members across all 6 counties and our membership continues to grow. Awarded over 170,000 in grants in Northern Ireland. 16 trained volunteer mentors working with our member groups locally
