Ronald Van Dorp leaves the Ballarat Magistrates Court last Thursday after his case was adjourned until 13 March. Photo Helen Tatchell By Jessica Howard A 52-year-old Darley man facing 57 charges including alleged rape and indecent assault appeared in Ballarat Magistrates Court last Thursday morning. The accused, Ronald Van Dorp, is a local business owner of The Vitality Centre, a privately owned massage business, and is now alleged to have sexually assaulted up to 26 different clients. Mr Van Dorp previously appeared in Bacchus Marsh Magistrates Court on November 1 after he allegedly assaulted two women, one aged 21 and the other 25-years-old (as reported in The Moorabool News, Nov 4). Magistrate Cynthia Toose said the case was a complicated and intensive matter and agreed to adjourn Mr Van Dorps case until March 13 for a further committal hearing.

Gardens open for charity

By Jane Gardner If you like beautiful gardens and you like supporting local causes, then next weekend is for you! Two local gardens will be open to the public, one in Millbrook and one in Bungaree. The Millbrook garden, AMLEE, features roses, lavender, ornamental pears, hedges and broad sweeping lawns. The garden is also complimented by a large veggie garden and berry enclosure and a paved courtyard with a water feature. The Bungaree garden offers a more contemporary feel, with artistic sculptures sharing the space with the hydrangeas and the roses. In both instances, the $7 entry fee will be going towards two great causes. The Weigall family in Millbrook will be using the funds to purchase a lap top for the Hobson Nursing Home in Ballarat so residents can view family photos and emails. AMLEE owner, Andrea Weigalls grandmother lives at the nursing home and turns 107 in February! The Frawley family in Bungaree will share their proceeds with the newly renovated Bungaree Recreation Reserve where locals have worked long and hard to create a space that supports and connects their community. If you visit these two beautiful gardens on the weekend, you might also like to sit for a while under the shade of the large Desert Ash which dominates the front lawn at AMLEE. You can purchase a tea or coffee, thanks to the Bungaree Store, and maybe a scone or two from the cake stall run by Gordon Primary School. Its a community effort all round! AMLEE is at 2054 Old Melbourne Rd, Millbrook and the Frawley Garden at 132 Reidys Rd, Bungaree. Both gardens are open this weekend from 10am 4.30pm. For more information visit www.opengarden.org.au

Act now on water

however Moorabool Shire Council Mayor Paul Tatchell said more time to assess the changes is needed. Its an incredibly complex document; we have very little time to put a submission in, and its a very complicated issue with all sorts of ramications. Mayor Tatchell said he would have liked to have seen more consultation and more time. I think its pretty ordinary to give us something like this in such a short space of time - the original draft is over 600 pages. Theres a lot of things that need to be teased out of it and discussed. Councillors Tom Sullivan and Pat Toohey both attended a panel held last week to discuss the proposed changes, and Moorabool councillors will now meet to discuss the submission that will be put forward on behalf of council. For more information about making a submission turn to page 9.

Time for a motion on toilets

By Kate Taylor East Ward Councillor David Edwards is pushing to get the ball rolling on a long overdue project to have public toilets built in Bacchus Marshs Rupert Moon Reserve. The project has languished on councils Capital Improvements list for a number of nancial years but, as Cr Edwards explains, has not yet even been costed prompting him to put a motion before the next meeting of council. The main point to the proposed motion is to get this project developed which includes type, size, and costings etc - this then enables council to seek funding when the opportunities arise, he said. The basic intent of the motion is to identify the need to start the project, identify the concerns such as sewerage and potable water then develop a solution that is costed. Cr Edwards said there are a number of reasons why the toilets project has not yet started mostly due to uncertainty around the Eastern interchange potentially being built through the reserve but said he is pushing for the project to start now because otherwise it could still be years away. The question we need to ask for timing of the project is how long do we wait for VicRoads to make a decision on the Eastern interchange. I believe there is a number of months work in just planning the project and hopefully the decision on the Eastern interchange will be made in this time.

East Moorabool Councillor David Edwards wants to begin the process of having toilets to be placed within the Rupert Vance Moon Reserve, a popular place for walkers, athletes and dogs. Photo Helen Tatchell Cr. Edwards said the project is important to the town. The reserve has become one of the most used passive recreation facilities in Moorabool with people walking dogs, riding bikes and using the picnic facilities. The car park is often full with bins overowing with rubbish, yet there are no toilets. I drive past the reserve most days on my way to work and there are people there at six oclock in the morning through to 9 oclock at night- this is a project that needs expediting and there is an everincreasing voice within the community to do so. The motion will go before the Wednesday 5 February meeting of council.

Dob in a dropper
By Jessica Howard A new mobile phone application has been launched by the Environment Protection Authority to make it easy to report littering from wherever you are across the State. Acting CEO Katrina McKenzie said through the application, EPA is targeting litter on all fronts, including educating Victorians on the impact litter has on land and water. We need more Victorians to become litter reporters and its now more convenient with our new mobile EPA Report Litter app, Ms McKenzie said. When you see litter being thrown from a vehicle or dropped by a driver or passenger you can report using this new app. Approximately 14,560 tonnes of litter is generated across the state every year almost three kilograms of litter for every Victorian. EPA has the power to issue an infringement or ne to the owner of the registered vehicle if they are seen throwing litter out of a vehicle. The details of each report are veried against the VicRoads database, if the details match, an infringement is issued. Litter is one of this states most unnecessary burdens, with a clean-up bill of $78

Council program is award nalist

By Jessica Howard A Moorabool Sire Council early intervention program, known as The Emotional Wellbeing Group, has been named as a nalist in the 2014 LGPro Awards for Excellence in the Service Delivery category. The group, which supports mothers who are experiencing post-natal depression or anxiety, provides opportunities for women to share experiences about the impact of mental illness in their lives. I would like to commend all our Early Years Staff who are involved in this program. They denitely deserve to be nominated for an award for the difference this program has made to the lives of the women who have accessed it, Mr Croxford said. News
By Jessica Howard The Ballan Library has revealed a wealth of talent and resources in the Moorabool Shire recently thanks to the new initiative, The Writers Craft. The workshop, in partnership with the Moorabool Shire Library Services, aims to connect people in the region who are passionate about writing. In recent sessions, participants were treated to performances and reading workshops, along with the opportunity to enjoy leisurely walks and discuss new ways of writing. Discovered among the local budding writers were historians, researchers, poets, screenwriters and biographers. The workshops provide an opportunity to discuss the art and process of writing, enjoy the companionship of other writers and exchange useful tips for getting published, says local poet Jennie Fraine. To celebrate the writing community in the Moorabool Shire, and to discuss how local writers might connect in the future, there will be a Reading and Talking about Writing event at the Expressions of Love caf in Inglis Street, Ballan on Sunday 9th of February at 1-4pm. This event is free, and afternoon tea is provided. For more details contact Natalie or Dale (at the library) on 5367 2533.

Heatwave Safety
With Victoria gripped by recent heatwaves, Moorabool residents are being urged to stay safe by following some basic sun protection tips. With extreme weather comes risk, and were reminding people to stay vigilant when it comes to sun protection, pool safety, and bushre preparedness, said Dr Bronwyn Evans, Chief Executive Ofcer, Standards Australia. Skin protection: Make sure sunscreen is up-todate and reects the latest Australian Standard (AS/ NZS 2604) requirements for SPF 50+ protection. Eye protection: Ensure your sunglasses meet with the Australian Standard (AS/NZS 1067) for maxmimum assurance. Swimming pool safety: Check the safety of fencing and gating. Australian Standards (AS 1926.2 and AS 2818) outline rigorous requirements. Bushre preparedness: With every summer comes bushre season. There are two fundamental Australian Standards (AS 3959 and HB 330) dealing with bushre prone areas. They cover the construction of buildings in bushre prone areas, as well as defence measures including re protection, evacuation plans, and stayor-go defendable spaces. Consult your local re authority when deciding upon appropriate action and responses. In Australia its important we respect our extreme weather environment, and this means taking some extra precautions to ensure consumers and the community stay safe, said Dr Evans.

Ballan Tanker waiting at the Stawell Speedway for the fire to come out of the bush.

Travelling to fight fires

sent to the Brimpaen sector just South of Laharum where there was potential for the re to move further out into farmland. Strike Team 1500 was a composite team of tankers from District 15; Ballan, Creswick, Napoleons/ Eneld, Smythesdale, Bacchus Marsh and the Grenville Group forward control vehicle. The tanker was crewed by members from all of the Ballan Group of Fire Brigades, not just Ballan, and operated 24 hours a day. Crews were transported in buses to their staging areas which were set up at recreation reserves and out in the eld close to the reground. Getting home in the bus was sometimes a long trip, with all of the road closures adding hours to the journey. The crews performed many roles including asset protection, establishing containment lines, grader/ dozer protection, re edge attack, and blacking out. Not only were they at the 52,000 hectare Grampians re but also at a separate re in the Black Ranges just South of Stawell patrolling active re edges and protecting many assets, including the infrastructure at the Stawell Speedway as the re came out of the bush. But upon leaving the Grampians complex of res, the crew found

Smythesdale Tanker and the fire breaking out of the bush. Photos Chris Thom

By Kate Taylor Fire brigade members from Moorabool helped battle a re that raged in the Grampians last month. The Ballan Brigade tanker was deployed to the res on Friday 17 January and returned a week later. Ballan Brigade member Chris Thom said it was deployed as part of Strike Team 1500, originally

its job was not yet done. As the tanker was being cleaned on the 24th, when it returned to Ballan, crews were called to a grass re at Fiskville that was caused by a fuse blowing on a power pole. This re was attended by two tankers from Ballan and two tankers from Mt Wallace. It was quickly brought under control and burnt about a quarter of a hectare, he said.

Action to begin on rabbits

By Jessica Howard The Moorabool Landcare Network has received $19,400 in funding which will be used by the group to demonstrate the best practices in rabbit control in a community setting. The Landcare Network says the project will enable a group of neighbouring landowners to carry out a program to bait rabbits, followed by harbour removal, follow up monitoring and other control works. President of the Landcare Network, Anthony Dufty said rabbit control was most effective when neighbours acted together to control rabbits. Failure to coordinate actions means re-invasion from neighbouring properties, Mr Dufty said. The wider Bacchus Marsh area is identied as a hot spot for rabbits and vigilance is needed to protect assets from this pest animal. Controlling rabbits will also help to control serious weeds such as Serrated Tussock and African Boxthorn by minimising bare ground in early autumn. The Network is seeking neighbourhoods for the demonstration project and local Landcare Groups are contacting potential landholders to participate in the project. The Network has established a Rabbit Action Group to oversee the project, which will include a eld day and the publication of a guide to control of rabbits in the Moorabool Shire, Mr Dufty said. Funding for the project was provided by the State Government as part of the Victorian Landcare Grants delivered by the Port Phillip and Westernport Catchment Management Authoritys Community Grants program.

Dedicated to protecting the community

By Jessica Howard A man who has dedicated over ve decades of service to the Blackwood Fire Brigade says it is a great honour to have watched the brigade grow through the help of the community. 86-year-old George Stockdale joined the Blackwood Fire Brigade 56 years ago and says he has really watched the brigade grow from absolutely nothing. I remember when the team was the only brigade in the area and you had to pay to become a member, Mr Stockdale said. Every aspect of it has changed. When Mr Stockdale signed up as a member in 1958, the brigade was not afliated with the CFA; however as the committee began to grow they started to raise some money in the hope to receive some new equipment. After raising close to 4,500 pounds they were provided with a jeep, and later a shed which the community all came together to help make. We are only a small community and a town that is not out in the open, we are in the middle of the forestry. But there is a lot of self satisfaction to see the brigade grow, Mr Stockdale said. As the 1983 Ash Wednesday Fires approached, the Blackwood brigade along with the help of the community began a six-month fundraising effort resulting in over $40,000 - with the help of the CFA, they then bought a brand new tanker. But then of course we had to buy a bigger shed, didnt we? Mr Stockdale laughed. The equipment we as a re brigade need is endless, however the community and the CFA have always supported us. A lot of stuff has to be bought in by donations, and we have never had any issues in collecting enough money from our surrounding support system. Although Mr Stockdale has stopped going out on calls with the brigade, he says he will keep an interest in it forever. Its been like climbing a steep mountain and eventually we have arrived at the top, he said. I feel like I have an investment in it. Ive seen it grow up and seen the huge difference both the members of the brigade and the community have made and that is an achievement. Mr Stockdale is a life member of the brigade and attended the ofcial opening of the new Blackwood Fire Station and Community Fire Refuge on January 19.

Harvesting a wider audience

By Kate Taylor Its set to be a bumper harvest festival in Bacchus Marsh this year with extra funding for the event. The festival will receive $2000 funding under the State Governments Country Victoria Events Program, towards tourism marketing. Announcing the funding, Member for Western Victoria Simon Ramsay said the festival is important because it highlights the towns credentials as one of Victorias most renowned local produce hubs He said the funding will go towards raising awareness of the festival, and its participating businesses to Melbourne audiences, which are already an established market with the town only 45 minutes from Melbourne. There is already strong awareness of Bacchus Marshs food and wine with audiences outside of the local area as demonstrated by last years festival which attracted over 4000 people with over 50 per cent of its audience coming from Melbourne. Held in March, the Bacchus Marsh Harvest Festival offers an opportunity for visitors to get closer to the local growers and the production process offering Meet the Grower farm tours, a hop-on-hop-off free bus to various farmgates, orchards and wineries, tastings and barefoot grape stomping. President of the Bacchus Marsh Tourism Association David Durham welcomed the funding. We are very grateful to Tourism Victoria for the fantastic opportunities presented via the Country Victoria Events Program. It is a great boost to the region and to the Bacchus Marsh Harvest Festival. We have lots of exciting plans in store for 2014 and look forward to showcasing our local producers and farmgates, for the benet of the entire town. The Bacchus Marsh Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March 2014.

Swimming for the kids

By Kate Taylor For 15 year old Bethany Howe, swimming is much more than something to do as the weather heats up over the summer holidays. Bethany completed a ve hour swim to receive her Gold certicate at Paul Sadler Swimland in Bacchus Marsh, raising money for the Royal Childrens Hospital in the process. For Bethany, the swim was personal. Born with Ventricular Septal Defect, a congenital heart disorder, Bethany has a hole in her heart between the two ventricles which hasnt been repaired and has been a regular outpatient at the royal Childrens from a very young age, still attending regular checkups there. Because of her health issues, Bethany has had some struggles with swimming due to her lack of cardio tness, explains Dane Georgiou, from Paul Sadler Swimland. She wasnt allowed to commence swimming lessons before the age of four as she needed to wait for growth to nish. However, Bethany is now swimming weekly and she has already completed a 10 km Gold Swim and was up for the challenge of swimming 5 hours of freestyle non-stop. To date, Bethany has raised more than $300 for the Royal Childrens Hospital.

All you need to know about farming

The 2014 Seymour Alternative Farming Expo is on again and will get underway for three big days from Friday 14 February, with organisers expecting more than 40,000 people to pass through the turnstiles. Expo organiser Colin Stray said the event offers visitors a snapshot of the latest in agricultural technology and the best in rural lifestyle. Australian farmers are among the worlds best and their uptake of new technology is very high. There are key elements of this technology, particularly in the area of machinery and implements that we have on display at this years Expo. In addition to the huge outdoor machinery showroom, there is a focus on some of the more alternative breeds of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry. Education and the free exchange of knowledge and ideas have been cornerstones of the Expo since its inception over two decades ago and visitors who own or have an interest in starting a small holding enterprise will benet from a number of free information forums that will run each day of the event. Industry experts will share their knowledge on a variety of topics including: compost to livestock selection, from permaculture to the keeping of geese, bees and pigs. The Seymour Agricultural & Pastoral Societys will also run practical workshops featuring talks and demonstrations on cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and alpacas. Another special family attraction will be the CraftAlive exhibit featuring the works of hobbyists and craftspeople that include displays of needlework, patchwork, quilting and jewellery. Fine local produce and wines will be on offer with an outstanding selection of food to be found in no less than three food courts! The food theme will be carried through to the Butcher Shop where Bob the Butcher can be viewed at work breaking down carcases, creating and advising on the best cuts of meat including beef, lamb, pork, chicken and rabbit. Crocodile will also feature on the Butcher Shop demonstration program. In the Country Kitchen, Shepparton chef Mario Letizia will share his passion for food with presentations ranging from homestyle sushi to great curries and sensational German dishes. Environmental Opinion
to those present the CEO of Exxon replied, Im not a U.S. company and I dont make decisions based on whats good for the U.S. Corporations just do not care about sovereign states, regardless of what words they say on TV. So what hope has our planet got? In 2001, President George W Bush was asked by the prime minister of India. Monmohan Singh, to inuence Exxon/Mobils pending decision on allowing Indias state-owned oil company to participate in a joint venture including the oil company and the government of Russia. Bush replied, Nobody tells those guys what to do. The Age just last week reported on the number of ex Liberal politicians who are now employed as lobbyists for corporations. For example, Nick Minchin (a vocal climate change denier), has joined Alexander Downer at Bespoke Approach whose client list includes Wesfarmers, coal seam gas miner Santos and Chineseowned coal miner Yancoal. What hope has the environment movement got in this corrupt world? In the 1970s 3 percent of retiring members of Congress in the U.S. gained employment as lobbyists for corporations by 2013 over 50 percent of retiring senators become lobbyists. And so we have the ridiculous situation in Australia where the federal and most state governments are being threatened by various beverage companies as they attempt to rein in the cans and plastic waste by introducing a scheme to buy back plastic bottles and cans. Finally an example of the power of these corporations and the effect on our environment: again this story is from The Future Six Drivers of Global Change. A recent U.S. study by Centers of Disease Control and Prevention identies traces of 212 chemical wastes in the average American, including pesticides, arsenic, cadmium, and ame retardants. An examination by the Chicago Tribune in 2012 demonstrated in detail how the cigarette industry corruptly inuenced policymakers to legally compel the addition of toxic ame retardants to the foam inside most furniture in order to save lives that were being lost in thousands of res started each year by smokers who fall asleep and drop their cigarettes on a couch or chair. A far more logical and less

Life after politics and whats in a cigarette

Once upon a time when you heard a political party say something like, Less government is a good thing, it appeared to be OK, or at least had some basis in reality. Not so today; because of the rise of corporations less government means, on the whole, more power to corporations. Here are a couple of stories that might illustrate my opening comment. The following information is from Al Gores latest book, The Future Six Drivers of Global Change (Random House New York 2013) At a recent oil industry gathering in Washington, USA, an executive from another company asked the then CEO of Exxon to consider building additional renery capacity inside the United States for security against possible shortages of petrol. According dangerous solution, according to Al Gore, and one that had been proposed since the early part of the twentieth century would have been to require the cigarette manufacturers to remove the chemicals they routinely add to the cigarettes to keep them burning even when they are not being puffed. But the tobacco industry did not want to be blamed for the res, and they worried that any inconvenience for smokers might hurt sales. So they came up with a corrupt scheme to buy inuence to require the addition of dangerous chemicals to most furniture instead. When the companies manufacturing the ame retardant chemicals began to understand how thy beneted from this ruse, they joined in providing more money to support the tobacco companies scheme. The same lobbyist represented state re ofcials and the chemical manufacturers and remained secretly on the payroll of the tobacco industry. Meanwhile children continue to breathe in the dust from the decaying ame retardants and scientist continues to link their exposure with evidence of cancer, reproductive disorder, and damage to foetuses. And again, according to Al Gore, the Consumer Product Safety Commission recently found that the ame retardants added to the foam in the furniture didnt work to cut down house res. I use this case as one small example of the many and I also presume this same practice is not present in Australian furniture. What is your opinion?

Increase in median house price

20 Victoria Street, Bacchus Marsh Asking: $560,000
4 2 2
This well designed home of 4 bedrooms plus study, En suite and WIR to master bed and BIRs to beds 2,3,& 4, formal lounge with OFP, kitchen and meals area and then separate rumpus room provides 3 living areas to cater for the whole family. The home is tted with ducted heating throughout and the adjoining double garage under roof with remote control door looks after the family cars. Landscaped gardens in the fully fenced yard completes the residence and then we have the huge color bond shed on the remainder of the 2000m2 block. With 3 street frontages this is an ideal property for truckies, tradies and travelers with caravans, boats and bikes. Inspection is by appointment only and this home is for sale at $560,000. The median price of a home in regional Victoria reached a record high in the last three months of 2013. State wide, the December quarter median house price for regional areas was $320,500, an increase of 2.6 per cent on the September quarter price of $312,500. But across the state there were huge variations in price growth with some areas increasing by more than 10 per cent while others fell. Median house prices in the three major centres Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong all grew and their prices remain at their peaks. Bendigo was up 1.6 per cent on the September quarter, the highest growth of the three centres. Such growth reects the strong price increases in Melbourne over this period, with buyers taking advantage of record low interest rates. But across Victoria it was a mixed story with economic conditions and local factors impacting on prices. In Queenscliff, for example, sought after by both retirees and holiday home buyers, the median price was $687,000 an increase of 13.6 per cent on the previous quarter. Among the other best performing areas were Ararat, where the December quarter median price of $179,750 was up 17.9 per cent on the September quarter, ColacOtway where the increase was 8.1 per cent, Wellington Shire with 3.5 per cent and Wangaratta, with 7.3 per cent. By contrast the overall median house price for East Gippsland fell by 1.7 per cent, compared with the previous quarter, while Horshams fall was 7.7 per cent. There was a 2.2 per cent fall in Warrnambool. Medians include the highest sales as well as the lowest, which can push up the median price. But this does not necessarily mean all homes in the area will reach such heights. This is worth remembering if using the medians to price your own house they are a valuable starting point but many individual factors location, quality and size, for example may mean your home is worth more, or less.

When you restart your computer the data from the operating system and the programs you start is once again loaded into the computers RAM. Bernie McComb Cowes Dear Editor, Building codes in bush re zones As Matthew Guy formalises his rejection of recommendat ions/reg u lat ions from the Royal Commission into Black Friday, will he also be subsidising hugely high premiums for re insurance? Or will he be funding full compensation when new sub-standard houses are destroyed in the next bush re? Arent we supposed to learn from experience? Is permit to build to satisfy suburban codes in bush re areas not an act of wilful blindness? How come we have Planning Ministers, with no previous experience or expertise, able to overrule communities, Local Government and VCAT? How come Matthew Guy is still in ofce at all after the asco of overruling land at Ventnor? How can he stop FOI investigation about paying off litigant, at Ventnor, with rumoured $2m-$3m of taxpayers money, while others are Dear Editor, Some people may be persuaded that there must be something to it, when mainstream Rupert Murdoch type news pretends theres a debate, with the very few noisy people, who organise protests against wind farms. Probably lost behind his other more crazy announcements this week, Tony Abbott is asking about another investigation by NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council). Previously NHMRC has conducted 19 such investigations. From their own on site investigation and checking all peer reviewed research from around the world, theyve never found any health problem link between people and wind farms. Its only when, cult groups like Waubra Foundation and Landscape Guardians suddenly appear, here, there and everywhere that, even in communities where wind farms have been operating for years, without any complaint, suddenly the odd bystander reports symptoms which can neither be validated nor cured by modern medicine. An interesting quote attributed to JFK its not the lie thats the enemy of truth its the mythallowing the comfort of opinionwithout the effort of thought. Minister Ian Macfarlane recently expressed his opinion that wind farms are the only technology ready enough to install in time, to meet international treaty commitments, for emission reductions. Ballan Tennis
Ballan Junior Tennis started last weekend with the B2 team travelling to Buninyong against Mt.Helen. The team did not get off to a great start. Both doubles matches were won by Mt Helen. In the singles though Ballan turned the tide. Joel was way too strong for his opponent winning 6 1 and also Lachlan got a set on the board 6 2. When Juulke won her singles match 6 3 it was up to Owen to bring the win home. Although he lost 5 6 this was enough to secure the win and second spot on the ladder. Ballan 3/30 def Mt.Helen 3/24. The two C2 teams played each other and like last time it was a close match. In the rst set Ben and Nick just got over the line against Emily Tabb and Eva, 6 4. Mitchell and Lachlan got the second set for the Ballan Black team, winning against Emily Lyle and Chantelle 6 3. In the third set Emily and Emily took a 4 0 lead, but Ben and Mitchell put up a ght back to take the match to a tie-break. However the C2 Blue team was able to win this one. With the sets 2 1 it came down to the last set. Nick and Mitchell did not give in to Eva and Chantelle winning by 6 3. C2 Black 3/23 def C2 Blue 1/16. The C3 had a tough match against Buninyong. In the rst set Ethan and Mackinnon went down 6 2. Ben and Adam played some great tennis, but unfortunately were not able to win the tie-break. In the third set Ethan and Adam came close to another tie-break, but unfortunately one break proved to be deciding. In the last set Mackinnon and Ben did everything they could to win the rst set for Ballan, but were not able to keep with their opponents, losing 2 6. Ballan 0/12 lost Buninyong 4/24.

Peter OConnors rink came from behind winning the last four ends to secure a 3 shot win, whilst Tim Cuttlers rink atoned for last weeks loss by recording a 4 shot win. No Hounding
Typically when you buy a vehicle the Salesperson will be paid a commission for the amount of prot he or she generates from the sale. This means the more they charge the Customer, the more they make on payday. This method creates pressure and stress throughout the dealership. But theres a welcome difference at Kings Cars. Were one of the few dealerships in Australia that dont pay sales commissions to our Staff. This Commission Free policy means every member of Kings Cars is there to help you through the buying process. Theres no pressure which allows you the time to ask all the questions you need to and make the decision to purchase when youre ready. So if you want to be treated as a person not a pay-cheque, enjoy the car-happiness that can only come from buying your next car from

The Commission Free Dealer Kings Cars.
