Substation Yard Requirements
 Materials; Base Course, Sub Base, Subgrade, and Selected fill 
 Sealed base course; Fine crushed rock (FCR) layer consisting of base
course material as per acceptable standard of NBC/DPWH
 Unsealed base course; natural gravel layer consisting of unsealed
material
 Sub-base course; FCR layer(s) below base course and overlaying
subgrade or select fill consisting of sub-base course material

 Sub-grade; Soil below the sub-base course and must be either
suitable in site material or must be built up using select fill
 Select fill; Material free of vegetable and other deleterious matter,

adjacent to substations to avoid damage to or contact with
existing underground services. Excavation inside/outside the
substation a Permit to Dig is required for all excavations
