Hello Fellow YNPN’ers
This email is about a great opportunity for emergent nonprofit professionals to receive quality technical assistance for their organization and to show their commitment and resourcefulness to the sector.
Recently, I was hired by the St. Luke’s Health Initiatives (SLHI) to manage a special outreachinitiative to the Latino community. This effort is funded by the Virginia G. Piper Foundationand is administered through SLHI because of the success they have had over the last ten yearswith their Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) offering
complimentary
technical assistanceto build the capacity of nonprofits in Maricopa County. SLHI places a high emphasis on astrengths-based approach and in building networks to foster collaboration; this programdemonstrates their commitment to these ideas. This Latino “TAP Talk” will be an interactive session featuring Tony Banegas from the ArizonaCommunity Foundation (ACF) who will focus on the importance of collaboration and technicalassistance for staying in business and thriving during difficult economic times. TAP participantswill have an opportunity to meet with leaders from organizations that have benefited from a TAPexperience and network with peers who are interested in building the capacity of theirorganization. Participants include people from Latino led or nonprofits serving the Latinocommunity. If you know of any person’s who would benefit or who could pass this information on to others, please forward them the information.
