Main 1!ti&s 2 R&sponsi3i+iti&s: (i) -ead of Section responsible for sectional administrative issues on day1to1day basis. 1

rehabilitation of water networ# infrastructures. (iii) 'aintains proper records of water networ# inventory and monitors all factors affecting the networ#. (iv) .iaison with Customer Service Section in handling customer complaints relating to water supply. (v) Carry out the function of increasing AUWSA&s customer base by implementing 2ew Water Connections. (vi) Carry out studies for water losses and recommend the corrective measures to solve the problems. (vii) 3eeping record of daily ma4or and minor brea#downs of water distribution system and cause for prompt repair of the same. (viii) /esponsible for curbing technical losses of water through lea#ages$ brea#ages$ system overflows etc. (i") (") ("i) /esponsible for curbing 2on /evenue Water (2/W) scientifically. 0eriodically carry out flushing of water infrastructures. 0erform any other duties as may be assigned by Technical 'anager.

R&(!i#&) *!a+i,ications an) E-p&#i&nc&: The successful applicant must be(have) A holder of +egree or Advanced +iploma in .and Surveying(0lanning( nformation Technology(5eography with emphasis in 5 S or should have pursued a Certificate or +iploma program in 5 S. 5 S concepts and analytical techni%ues$ including computeri!ed mapping and digital data conversion$ manipulation and analysis. 3

3nowledge of 5 S software tools and applications including but not limited to Arc5 S$ AutoCA+ suite and applications of 'S 6ffice Suite.

Main 1!ti&s 2 R&sponsi3i+iti&s: (i) (ii) Survey and create water networ# maps using 5 S software and related e%uipment. Survey and create sewerage networ# maps using 5 S software and related e%uipment. (iii) (iv) Survey$ collect and locate customers& information in the map using 5 S software. Compile geographical data from a variety of sources including survey$ field observation$ satellite imagery$ aerial photographs$ and e"isting maps. (v) ,nter new map data through use of a digiti!er or by direct input of coordinate information using the principles of cartography including coordinate systems$ longitude$ latitude$ elevation$ topography$ and map scales. (vi) 6perate and maintain 5 S system hardware$ software$ plotter$ digiti!er$ 50S$ video camera and other pro4ect facilities. (vii) ,nsure compliance(lin#age of different applications.

(viii) Communicate(coordinate with other 5 S users in water supply and sewerage system or in other fields. (i") (") ..0 Train AUWSA staff on 5 S applications. 0erforming any other duties as may be assigned by the Technical 'anager.
