PLAYWRITING, DEVISED WORK, AND NEW PLAY DEVELOPMENT

Lunch With Amanda I directed the staged reading of this play written by Massachusetts playwright, Christopher Newbound. The performance took place on the Main Stage theatre on the Berkshire Theatre Festival campus as part of the BTF Friday Series. (July 2012)

Quartet With Grand Piano I assistant directed this production which was a composition of four one-act playstwo of which were world premieresas well as musical interludes that served as transitions between the plays. Singing, dancing, and theatre were the highlights of this unique Baylor University theatre experience. (March 2012) Red Flags, Black Squares This original postmodern devised text centered on Hurricane Katrina. This work was an amalgamation of dance, New Orleans culture and 20th century American literature built through the collaborative efforts of the cast, the production team and myself. (Fall 2011) This annual production serves the Baylor University graduate school orientation. The production is heavily organic and improvisational, focusing on the concerns that incoming students may face as they adjust to graduate school (2011, 2012).
