Humanity has come to terms with the arrival of giant monsters across the globe. After an attack from space that nearly destroyed the planet, Godzilla reappeared in Hawaii and nearly killed budding scientist Lucy Casprell and her Kaiju Watcher research team. Saved by Commander Steven Woods of the CounterKaiju Reactionary forces (CKR, Seekers), Lucy joins her group as they depart for China in search of a mysterious giant monster. The CKRteam discovers a new species called Destoroyah and a piece of Godzillas esh, and take both to their facility in San Diego for analysis. An attack at sea which destroyed an aircraft carrier and supporting eet signals the invasion of downtown San Diego by a swarm of Destoroyah crabs. Leaving the facility to engage the crabs, the CKR forces are unaware that an alien race known as the Cryog have stolen the Godzilla specimen, leaving a sole survivor.

THE STORY SO FAR

Turning the Godzilla specimen over to their undersea cohorts, the Devonians, the Cryog are condent that Godzilla will soon be destroyed, easing their conquest of the planet. When Godzilla faces the mighty Destoroyah, he nearly falls in defeat. Only with the intervention of Mothra do the two defeat Destoroyah, and thwart the Cryog/Devonian plans.
