THE INVISIBLE DECK

This is a rough and smooth deck; it shows the chosen card face down in a
face up deck, making it easier to find the card; especially in low lighting.
Only the middle sections are treated with a roughing agent.

HANDLING ( L/handers reverse )
Holding the case in the L/hand the thumb flips open the press- stud as the
R/hand fully opens the flap to remove the deck from the leather case.
When you know the card, you know which side to display, either open
flap up or open flap facing down, either way will look natural. Keep the
cards tilted downward as not to flash the bottom card to the audience.
Place the deck into the L/Hand, push spread the cards towards the R/Hand
with the L/Thumb. Keeping the thumb flat on the centre of the deck, (not
the edge of the cards) apply a light pressure and push the cards towards
the right, into the R/Hand.
When you arrive at the card that needs to be separated, move your thumb,
either to the top or the bottom, which ever is more comfortable for you,
carry on pushing, from this higher or lower position the card will very
easily separate, showing a face down card from the other card, quickly
hide the card above the chosen card by pulling it under the deck After
removing the card, the rest of the deck is held securely in the left hand, so
that the chosen card can be replaced back into the correct position for
resetting.
I could carry on writing more about the handling, but I know you will
understand how easy it is when you start using it. You will very quickly
acquire your own sense of feel. Too much pressure on the cards wears the
roughing agent away, always use a gentle downward pressure to the
centre, not the edges, as you spread the cards from hand to hand.
This deck is set up with Hearts & Clubs one side with the Ace of Hearts
on top and Diamonds & Spades on the other side with the Ace of Spades
on top.

A QUICK ROUTINE: By Jerry OConnell
Say to someone Some times this works, so please help me with an
experiment Describe the persons appearance in detail, with colour of
hair and eyes, etc. etc. saying I have reversed one card in this deck that I
know will match the card you say when I snap my fingers next time
Apologise for snapping your fingers at him/her, explain that it clears their
mind for selecting a card, say When I snap my fingers please shout out
the card youre thinking of; Now please after he/she says the card, open
the case and remove the deck the correct way up, spread to the correct
face down card, remove it and only look at it yourself, saying Yes Im
right again, this is so strange, people with your good looks and colouring,
always say the same card Then half replace it back, face down, someone
will say lets see it then, Now show it. This ending works, Please try it
for yourself.

THOUGHTS
Its very important that you follow the routine and understand it before
you perform this effect. If you drop the cards or handle them badly you
will expose the method and make yourself look a fool.
The rules are simple, understand and learn the effect, practise until
confident and only then perform the effect.
Snapping the fingers is my way of controlling the helper to quickly say
the card, keeping me in control of the performance.
The routine allows you to repeat the effect to another person in the group,
turn your back and hide the deck while you play act at reversing another
card that will match the other persons looks. Keep looking back and say
something to them like are your blue or grey- blue as if it was very
important to the choice of card.
I repeat, do not attempt to perform the effect until you have mastered the
handling. Dont tell anybody how it works, you have spent money for this
effect, and its yours. Enjoy
