Erdnase Bottom Deal

Erdnase grip. Middle finger holds the outer right corner of the deck. Base of the thumb pinch the left
inner corner. The deck is held by the diagonals. The forefinger is in the front. Nothing else is hold the
deck other than these two points.

To make this deal easier, step the bottom stock by beveling the packet to the left as you place it in your
hand.

You do this by sliding the left thumb down.

As it’s in the hand, just push the top of the packet to the right. The bottom seven or eight cards stepped
to the right. The middle portion stepped to the left. The top portion is stepped to the right. This covers
the mask.
The move utilizes a push off bottom deal. Use the ring finger of the left hand moves in slightly and
pushes to loosen the bottom card. No farther than in illustrated below.

The right hand can take the card.

All of this happens underneath. The left thumb pushes the top card over. The ring finger loosens the
bottom card. You take out the bottom card as the left thumb slides back the top card.

(MP: when pushing the top card over, move the bottom card at the same time to quicken the dealing
process. Also, grip the left middle finger to the left of the upper right corner. This gives room for the ring
finger rest underneath so it can dislodge the bottom card. None of the forefinger should touch the deck
because this cause it to wedge and make it difficult for the ring finger to dislodge its card.)

(MP: remember, to only dislodge the bottom card, don’t push it to far. Let the right hand do the rest.)
