Your response within 14 days is kindly requested.
Attorney General Weinstein:
I am in receipt of your April 13, 2014, referenced above.
Your letter states that the israel Police handles such complaints, pursuant to
Basic Law: Jurisdiction, Article 12(a).
The law, referenced in your resopnse letter says:
Criminal Jurisdiction
12.
(a) No criminal investigation shall be initiated against a judge,
unless by consent of the Attorney General, and no indictment shall be
filed by others but the Attorney General.
Needless to say, the complaint pertains to the integrity of the Supreme Court
of the State of Israel, and therefore, to integrity of the justice system as a
whole.
Your ongoing refusal to consent to criminal investigation of Mr Grunis on such
grave matter, undermines the integrity of the Israeli courts and the Israeli
justice system.
Therefore, I again request that you instruct the Israel Police to initiate
investigation of the criminal fraud complaint against Presiding Justice Asher
Grunis, referenced above.
