Tajima TME-HC, TMEF-HC User Manual

Instructions

Basics
There are four kinds of the Tajima TME-HC machine:
TME-H: Flat frame, main motor underneath the control panel. Underneath bar sitch.
TME-HC: Cap frame, main motor behind the machine. !"#!FF buttons instead of bar sitch.
TMEF-H: Flat frame, main motor to the far left. Under bar sitch.
TMEF-HC: Tubular frame, ith h$draulic table. !"#!FF buttons instead of bar sitch.
Main buttons %on the ri&ht'
NUMBER PAD: To enter a (-) *alue.
NUMBER PAD ARRO !E"#: !*erla$s the number ke$s. To manuall$ mo*e the frame, or
the h$draulic table.
B$UE ARRO !E"#: To mo*e throu&h the menu.
%& an' -&: To scroll throu&h submenus, such as the color chan&e se+uence.
RE#ET: To cancel errors
#ET: To make a selection
ERA#E: ,art of the erase desi&n function
#E$ (#E$ECT): To scroll throu&h a*ailable choices, usuall$ for !"#!FF settin&s.
RE#ET: To cancel errors.
Main menu list
RO &, Desi*n #elect: To load a desi&n from a -eader, or choose a desi&n from memor$.
RO +, Color C,an*e: To set the color chan&e se+uence.
RO -, In.ormation: To sho -,M and number of stitches.
RO /, Manual Control: To sho errors, stop position, and manuall$ control .TH, current
needle, and the frame.
RO 0, Maintenance an' E'itin*: To chan&e parameters.

#TOP PO#ITION: 0i&hts up hen $our main shaft is at the /T!, position, marked in -E1 on
the fl$heel. This li&ht is located in RO /, Manual Control, PO#, ne2t to here it sa$s
/T!, F.CT!-.
CURRENT NEED$E: /hos a number of $our current needle position. This number is
located in RO /, Manual Control, CO$OR. 3ill displa$ C or a backards C hene*er $ou
ha*e &one past the last needle or before the first needle. 3ill also displa$ if the dipsitches are
set for C., F-.ME.
4ar sitch and button %under table, certain models onl$'
BAR #ITCH $EFT: ,ull bar to the left to stop, or to &o back one stitch
BAR #ITCH RI1HT: ,ull bar to the ri&ht to start.
Frame mo*e, .TH, -,M
MO2E FRAME: Use the "UM4E- ,.1 .--!3 5E6/. Make sure $ou are first on menu
location FRAME, hich is in Ro3 /, Manual Control, FRAME. ,ress the 405 ke$ to sitch
beteen hi&h speed and lo speed.
IMMEDIATE THREAD TRIM: Make sure $ou on menu item ATH, hich is in Ro3 /,
Manual control. ,ress &, then #ET.
CHAN1E R6P6M6 #PEED: 1urin& stitchin&, press the NUMBER PAD ARRO !E"# up or
don. 475 increases speed, and 4+5 decreases speed.
$oa' a ne3 'esi*n
(. Mo*e the cursor to the T.,E position, in Ro3 &, TAPE.
7. ,ress the + ke$ and then press #ET.
8. The blinkin& number is the first empt$ memor$ location for $our ne file.
9. Chan&e this number, or lea*e it. ,ress the #ET ke$ hen done.
:. The rotation option ill blink no. ;t defaults to &, hich is no rotation. ,ress #ET to accept.
<. The scale option ill blink no. ;t defaults to &88 percent. ,ress #ET to accept.
=. The final choice is to start data input from the reader. ,ress & and #ET to be&in the donload
process.

7. ,ress the 0 ke$ and then press #ET.
8. The first memor$ location ith a stitch file ill displa$. T$pe in the desired number, or use the @( -(
numbers to scroll throu&h the selections.
9. ,ress the #ET ke$ hen done selectin&.
:. The rotation option ill blink no. ;t defaults to &, hich is no rotation. ,ress #ET to accept.
<. The scale option ill blink no. ;t defaults to &88 percent. ,ress #ET to accept.
=. The final choice is to accept the data. ,ress & and #ET.

(. Mo*e the cursor to the .UT!#M."U.0 position, in Ro3 +, AUTO:MANUA$.
7. The automatic color chan&e li&ht ill blink. .utomatic mode ill blink 485, and manual mode ill
blink 4-5.
8. ,ress the #E$ (#E$ECT) ke$ to sitch beteen automatic and manual mode.
9. ,ress #ET hen done. ;f $ou ha*e chosen manual, these instructions stop here.
:. The process ill start from the first color. ,ress #ET to continue.
<. The needle for the current color ill blink. T$pe in the desired needle number.
=. ,ress the 4%&5 ke$ to accept and &o to the ne2t color chan&e.
>. ;f $ou made a mistake, $ou can press the 4-&5 ke$ to &o backards.
). -epeat the process until all colors are pro&rammed.
(A. 3hen finished, then press the #ET ke$ immediatel$ after pressin& the 4%&5 ke$.
Erasin* 'esi*n in memor9
(. Mo*e the cursor to the T.,E position, in Ro3 &, TAPE.
7. ,ress the 0 ke$ and then press #ET.
8. "o choose the desi&n $ou ish to erase ith the number ke$s.
9. ,ress ERA#E, then press #ET.
:. 3ait a fe moments until completion.
Erasin* all 'esi*ns
(. Mo*e the cursor to the T.,E position, in Ro3 &, TAPE.
7. ,ress the 0 ke$ and then press #ET.
8. For the desi&n number, choose 8.
9. ,ress ERA#E, then press #ET.
:. 3ait a minute until completion.
Tajima Error Co'es
,ress the RE#ET button to cancel most errors. 6ou ma$ ha*e to chan&e menus to the /T!, F.CT!-
menu.
+&&: /top position error. Manuall$ mo*e main shaft until at stop position, or tr$ the .TH
operation.
++&, +++, ++-, ++/: 0imit sitch is tripped. Check position of limit sitches compared to the
frameBs position. .djust if needed.
++0: Cap frame tra*el past C limits.
+7&: Color chan&e timeout. Check the color chan&e motor and mechanicals.
+B&, +B+, +B-, +B/, +B0, +B;: ,roblem ith the tape reader. Ma$ &i*e se*eral errors, please
reset them all before tr$in& the tape reader a&ain.
+B<: ,lease select desi&n a&ain.
+B=: Memor$ Error. Tr$ the erase-all-desi&ns function.
+BB: Frame back e2ceeded. /top &oin& backards.
+BC: ,lease select another desi&n.
+C&: /tart button pressed hile control panel is bus$.
+CD: 1esi&n corrupted due to poer loss. -eload desi&n.
-&+: Encoder problem. Check the encoder line.
-&/: Main s,a.t not rotatin*6 Check if the -E1 li&ht on the main motor brake bo2 is litD if so,
re*erse to ires in $our 8-phase poer plu&. Check ma&netic contactor ne2t to the main
poer rela$.
-+&: 1U-(A C6 dri*er reportin& problem. Check if both li&hts are &reen, on the 1U-(A bo2.
-+/: E2cessi*e slodon durin& sein&. 0oer -,M or check mechanicals or fabric.
-+0: Cap frame sensor error.
-7+: Color chan&e motor not mo*in&. Check motor and encoder.
-7-: "eedle position problem. Check color chan&e needle position and manuall$ mo*e to
proper position if needed.
-7/: Encoder problem. Check encoder.
-A+: Thread trimmer problem.
-D-: Computer failure error. Check cablin& that nothin& is unplu&&edD reseat cables.
