Released in J une 1988 by Def J am Recordings, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back is the second studio album by
American hip hop group Public Enemy, who set out to make the hip hop equivalent to Marvin Gaye's What's Going On, an
album noted for its strong social commentary.
Recording sessions took place during 1987 at Chung King Studios, Greene St. Recording, and Sabella Studios in New York
City. The album charted for 49 weeks on the US Billboard 200, peaking at number 42. By August 1989, it was certified
platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Music critics hailed it for its production techniques and the socially
and politically charged lyricism of lead MC Chuck D. It also appeared on many publications' year-end top album lists for 1988,
and was the runaway choice as the best album of 1988 in The Village Voice's Pazz & J op critics' poll, a poll of the leading
music critics in the US.
Since its initial reception, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back has been regarded by music writers and publications as
one of the greatest and most influential albums ever. In 2003, the album was ranked number 48 on Rolling Stone magazine's
list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, the highest ranking of all the hip hop albums on the list. Though this music is
certainly a representation of its time, it hasn't dated at all. It set a standard that few could touch then, and even fewer have
attempted to meet since.

In celebration of Def J am's 30th Anniversary this classic will be getting the deluxe edition which includes a remastered version

Virtually unknown guitarist J eremy Brunner is the founder of the band, and the Oregon transplant makes an

Who are those musicians? Some of the best in Los Angeles have joined in including bassist J ames Lomenzo

project, hard-hitting drummer Fred Fischer (Midline). Legendary producer Andy J ohns, the former Led Zeppelin

Get Your Rock On was mixed by Wyn Davis (Black Sabbath, Dio, Whitesnake, Dokken), and it took more than a
year in the studio to get things just the way Brunner wanted, as the guitarist is a bit of a perfectionist. But, WOW
was the time put in well worth it. The XDrive debut positively delivers from beginning to end.

Rituals Special Edition, is the first US facing release from Fenech-Soler, who have previously achieved huge success
across Europe.
Fenech-Soler are brothers Ben and Ross Duffy, Dan Fenech-Soler and Andrew Lindsay. At Glastonbury 2011 Fenech-
Soler were at the height of their tremendously successful debut. The band had been discovered by Daft Punk
collaborator Alan Braxe, and featured on a Maison Kitsune compilation leading to their Warner Bros signing. They
had sold out tours, had their singles playlisted at BBC1 and were riding the tidal wave of indie-commercial
crossover success. As they looked out at the thousands of festival-goers singing along, they faced what was an
uncertain and terrifying future when lead singer Ben Duffy was diagnosed with cancer. Many months and several

The Seasons was formed in Beauport, Quebec in the winter of 2011.
The Chiasson brothers Hubert & J ulien (vocals & guitars), Remi (drums & percussion) Sam (bass) had a desire to share the collection of hooks and melodies
churning in their minds with the world. The chemistry was instantaneous. After a few weeks in their parents basement a fully grown batch of original songs
were brewed and they realized immediately that they were part of something bigger than themselves. These apples needed to be shared. And the band was
formed. They booked their first gig so a name for the band became a necessity. A bunch of ideas were tossed around but it was the name The Seasons that
stuck. The Seasons played their first show for friends and realized that they needed a larger venue. A quick succession of sold-out local shows followed as
the word of their talent continued to spread. Their self-made video for Apples was filmed with a few artist friends and released on YouTube during Summer
2012 further increasing their notoriety

The band met producer Stephane Rancourt (Pascale Picard, J ean Leloup) in Spring 2012 at the Ampli (a creative collective for emerging artists). Together
they began working on Apples and a collection of other songs for an independent seven song EP called Velvet released in J une 2013. As their fan base
grew, a bidding war between several major and independent labels broke out resulting in a record deal with Vega/Universal and a booking contract with the
world renowned Agency Group in November 2013.

Four of the songs from Velvet were re-recorded and re-released as the Velvet EP. In J anuary 2014 Apples is the first single to make its way to the top 50 of
the BDS in its first week and is still climbing the charts (Top 10 on Rythme FM and Rouge FM. The EP immediately captured the hearts of their devoted fans
and attracted the attention of music critics and media alike getting them mentioned in no less than 5 top ten lists of bands to watch out for in 2014. The band
is currently feverishly at work preparing their spring tour in support of Sarah Slean, Patrick Watson and Bobby Bazini.

has proved to be at home on ECM improvising solo or leading a trio, as well as engaging in duos with
Enrico Rava, Chick Corea and Brazilian bandolim player Hamilton de Holanda.
With Joy in Spite of Everything an album of new compositions by the pianist for a trans-Atlantic quintet
Bollani has made his most beautifully textured and infectiously lyrical statement yet. He recorded these
nine pieces at New York Citys Avatar Studios with the Danish rhythm section from his Stone in the Water
trio bassist J esper Bodilsen and drummer Morten Lund plus two prominent American players and ECM
intimates: guitarist Bill Frisell and saxophonist Mark Turner.
As its title reflects, Joy in Spite of Everything brims with an indefatigable lightness of spirit despite the
inevitable shadows of life.
