The total cost is $25 per person which includes cutout, paint, brushes and
bow. To sign up, bring a $10 deposit and the cutout shape you request to
the church office or see Kathy Dugan in the Education Building hallway
during the Sunday School hour. (Remaining balance of $15 is due night

OUR CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Jody & Melissa Poitevient in the birth of their daughter, Amiee Grace
Poitevient, born July 16. Grandmother is Michele Miller and great-
grandmother is Jean Stokes.
Called Business Meeting for August 13, 7 PM in the
Sanctuary. The Deacons and Church Council wish to make a
recommendation to the church to begin a Contemporary Worship
Service. Please plan to attend this important meeting.
EARL BARRON will be teaching the book, I AM A
CHURCH MEMBER, this Saturday morning from 8:30 till
noon in the Fellowship Hall. All youth and adult teachers are
encouraged to attend. The contents of this book will be the basis
for the first six Sunday School lessons for the new church year.
Sunday Night Fellowship, August 17, Ice Cream
fellowship. It will be that time again to show off your ice cream
making skills as we enjoy a time of fellowship following the
evening service.
I am looking ahead to the Step Up Mens Conference,
September 6, at First Baptist Church Pelham. Col. Steve Russell
will be the guest speaker. Men, lets take a bus load over. Time
for the event is 8:30 AM till noon and the cost is $10 per person.
Sign up now for this exciting time.
So many great things are happening at First Baptist
Church and God gets the glory and praise for all of them. I hope
you will start off the new church year actively serving and
worshipping God in this place.
Speaking of the new church year, who will win the High
attendance trophy on Sunday Sept 7? That is the date for our
tailgate party and High Attendance in Sunday School. Now is
the time to begin preparing for that great day.

CHILDRENS CHOIRS BEGIN AUGUST 13
Our graded choir program for children 3 years old through
5th grade will kick off the new year on Wednesday, August
13. The choirs will meet from 5:45 to 6:20 PM each
Wednesday. Look for a postcard with details of your
childs teachers and rooms where they will meet.
SAINTS ALIVE
Another great year of singing and ministry in the SAINTS
ALIVE CHOIR has begun. We had a near record atten-
dance Monday, in spite of illnesses, vacations and medical
appointments. Welcome to new and all returning members.
The new music for our Sr. Adult Choir Festival is in and we
love it! Bring a friend and have some fun with Saints Alive.
FELLOWSHIP CLUB
Monday, August 4, our Fellowship Club resumed its activi-
ties with the presence of singer/pianist/accordionist Walter
Goodman. Walter also invited Lynn Roberts to the stage to
further inspire and entertain us. Our planning team has
some great programs planned for Senior Adults, including
Attorney Maggie Rentz Smith who will answer legal ques-
tions Senior Adults face, on Monday, September 8.
FALL JUBILEE
The FALL JUBILEE for Senior Adults will be held at the
Gatlinburg Convention Center, Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Top gospel
artists like The Kingsmen, Gold City, Ricky Skaggs,
DINO, Lynda Randle, Jason Crabb, and Dennis Swanberg
will entertain us. Two of Americas most dynamic Bible
preachers, Johnny Hunt and Charles Stanley, will bless us
with fresh messages from the Word of God. Make your
reservation with me by this Sunday. Space is limited.

Tuesday Prayer Breakfast
Prayer breakfast gets started for this school year this Tuesday,
August, 12 at 6:30. We will meet at Bettys for a time of
fellowship and prayer before school. I am really looking
forward to our time together!!

640 Kickoff
640 is now the name of our Wednesday night service. The
name comes from 2 Chronicles 6:40 which says, Now, O my
God, let your eyes be open and your ears attentive to the
prayer of this place. On Wednesday night August 20 we will
have a special night to kickoff our 640 service for the new
year. Supper begins at 6:00 and worship will start at 6:40.

The Follow II
On Sunday night September 7th Grace will be holding their
Follow II event. This year the program will feature Building
429, John Crist, and the Oswald Brothers Band. We can get
discounted ticket prices if we have a group over 15. You will
need to be signed up by this Wednesday Night!!

Prayer Walk Bainbridge Schools!
Thank you to Susan Lanier, Tanya Crum, Janone Doss, Jeff and
Michelle Baxley, Maci Barber, Hudson Barber, Ashley Kate
Barber, Brad Mitchell, John Robert Baxley, Grant Baxley and
Cooper Baxley for coming out to pray for the schools of
Bainbridge!
Thank you to Crystal Hines, JoAnne Moore, Faye Martin and
team and the children's and preschool committees for helping
deliver cookies and prayer for our teachers!

AWANA Starts Sunday, August 10
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Ages 3 years through 5th grade
We are in serious need for some volunteers to lead T&T! Your
job would simply be to build relationships with 3rd-5th graders
and help them memorize Bible verses. Please consider helping!

Wednesday Nights Starts August 20
We will return to our regular schedule of Wednesday night
activities on August 20th. There are still one or two big holes.
Is God talking to you about leading RAs? I know someone out
there is being called. There are several men who are able to
assist, but we are still in search of the teacher/leader.
