Transfiguration of Our Lord

His Holiness
Pope Francis
Domus Sanctae Marthae
00210 Vatican City

Your Holiness:

I write this, my fifth letter to this Holy Office, regarding the ongoing apostasy occurring
in the Archdiocese of Boston for several years now.

Under the supervision of His Eminence, Sean Cardinal OMalley, OFM Cap. as
Archbishop, the Archdiocese has lost its catholicity in all areas of teaching and governance. The only
places where there is orthodoxy are the handful of parishes that regularly offer the Traditional Latin
Mass. Otherwise there is no financial stability, clerical discipline, reverent liturgy, and morals-based
education in our Catholic school system.

More recently in June 2014, the United States Supreme Court unanimously ruled that a
Massachusetts law which required pro-life sidewalk counselors and demonstrators to stand 35 feet
away from the door to abortion clinics, was unconstitutional. Instead of honoring the Courts decision,
the defiant Massachusetts Legislature passed an emergency law that if pro-life sidewalk counselors
and demonstrators are deemed to be a nuisance, a police officer could tell them to stand 25 feet away
for the rest of the day; if they refuse, they will get arrested and jailed without justice and due process.
The law targets anyone who stands even quietly, not just physical aggressors.

The Legislature has several Catholic members who voted in favor of this and other pro-
choice measures. Instead of enforcing Canon 915 and excommunicating these public officials for their
mortal sins, Cardinal OMalley actually allows these persons to receive Holy Communion and supports
their political views. Instead of fighting for the births and baptisms of the approximately 25,000 babies
aborted in Massachusetts annually, Cardinal OMalley supports people emigrating to the United States
illegally.

As far as the Sacred Liturgy is concerned, the parishes with the Tridentine Mass and the
Eastern Rites are the only ones that are orthodox, producing priestly vocations, and fruitful marriages.
All the others are full of too many liturgical abuses and sacrileges here to mention.

The Catholic school system is no longer teaching and practicing the Faith. Instead, the
schools with kindergarten through twelfth grade have adopted the evil Common Core curricula
encouraged by the Federal government, which disallows intellectualism that the Fathers and Doctors of
the Church have strived for. The colleges regularly feature pro-homosexual and pro-abortion
graduation speakers. The Catholic schools at all levels teach sex education from an anti-Christian
perspective; abstinence is no longer taught.

Several laypersons working at the Pastoral Center have been paid six-figure salaries
since Cardinal OMalley took over in 2003, and the Archdiocese has had financial difficulties ever since.
A diocesan priests stipend is $42,000 per year, higher than most dioceses due to the high cost of living;
the same amount would not suffice for a layperson without government assistance. The Clergy Benefit
Trust has not been benefiting the clergy and has been extorted. Several parishes are being shut down
and sold to anti-Catholic entities under the heretical Disciples in Mission program, which the title itself is
an oxymoron.

Your Holiness, the Archdiocese of Boston and its suffragan dioceses are de facto mission
territory. While two of the small dioceses in Massachusetts now have new bishops, several faithful
Catholics like myself are not happy with the current state of affairs and request that a change in
episcopacy is necessary in order for the local church to be saved. Otherwise, there will be no
Catholicism in Massachusetts in twenty years or so. The new Archbishop of Boston needs to be a
traditionalist who will exclusively celebrate Mass and administer the sacraments according to the
liturgical books of 1962, and require his priests to do the same.

With every prayerful best wish I remain

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Christopher R. Whittle
