The inventory process will mark all assets with tamper resistant tags and prepare electronic documents enabling the import of the collected inventory information into a database as directed by Huntsville City Schools (HCS)." So how did we go from that to spying on our teachers and students in 2014?? This story is so unbelievable. Huntsville City Schools superintendent has been secretly spying on students and he says that a call from NSA led him to do it.....After reading the article I started digging and here's what I have uncovered. I can find only one contract between HCS and T&W Operations (the company McRae works for) It was in Aug. of 2012. It sure does not look like they were contracted to spy on teachers and kids. The contract was for right under $600,000. From the financials I can find online HCS spent at least (I can't find financials from Sept. 2012 to Sept. 2013) $356,000 before this last January. . From January of this year until July they have given T&W $800,620.34. Again....I can not find a contract for the present work T&W is doing. I looked at minutes from for months before and after the January 14 start date of Mr. McRae and I see no reference to his work or his company. It appears, yet again, our Superintendent is doing exactly what he wants without regards to policy and procedures.     Dear Sir:

    T&W Operations, Inc. is pleased to present our proposal for the inventory of Huntsville City Schools.

    On award, we will be prepared to conduct an inventory of Huntsville City School facilities. The
    inventory process will mark all assets with tamper resistant tags and prepare electronic documents enabling the
    import of the collected inventory information into a database as directed by Huntsville City Schools (HCS).

    The total cost for labor will be dependent upon the actual number of hours worked on the project.
    Material costs will be approximately $9,371.36. The table on page two provides the Labor and Material cost
    breakouts required for conducting the inventory. The labor totals represent 2080 hours.

    This proposal assumes that the subordinate labor for the project will be provided by the Huntsville City
    School system.
