The Tate Modern is an international modern art museum from
London, which is, since 2000, located in the former Bankside Power Station (an old oil-fired power station, located on the south bank of the River Thames, in the Bankside district of London).
The collections in Tate Modern are
constituted by works of international modern and contemporary art dating from 1900 onwards. All these collections are on display in the numerous levels from the museum, and we kind see works of abstraction, expressionism (especially abstract expressionism), Cubism, Futurism, Pop Art… There are lots of types of works, from paintings to photos or sculptures.
The Tate owns a very important amount of works from various
important artists, like Andy Warhol, Roy Liechtenstein or Pablo Picasso. In fact, during the years that the museum has been working, lots of modern artists have had their works exposed in the different galleries from the building.
