INTRODUCTION
• Jean Nouvel- “Architect of Contrast”, French Architect, born
on 12th August, 1945.
• His buildings- both aesthetically and functionally graceful.
• His style of working/methodologies
• Ateliers Jean Nouvel, his present practice, was formed in
1994 with Michel Pélissié and is one of the largest in France.
• Jean Nouvel was awarded the Pritzker Prize, in 2008, for his
work on more than 200 projects.

New vertical Neighborhood
 Located in the Gennevilliers, on
the banks of the river Seine
 Aims to create a sustainable and
inspiring living environment
 Aims to give advance the past-
Olympic and become the driving
engine for the area’s development
 The façade are designed
according to their orientation,
with the aim of reducing energy
needs
 Jean Nouvel explains “Echos”.
 12 floors, pre-programmed floor
 In total, the building has 3 hectors of
furnished terraces and 30,000m2 of
public spaces
 Planned to accommodate nearly 45000m2
of offices with modular platform, an
auditorium, cafes/restaurants, a gym, a
nursery to college, local shops will be
utilized over 2300m2, 1500 housing units
 A sustainable building -“Green”
 It relies on a bioclimatic and low energy
architecture
 The project is designed for energy efficiency
and natural ventilation
