delivered to me. I understand also that you were one of the recipients of this official communication and I
would like to request that a copy of the same is sent to me immediately.

Dear Ashley
Need to discuss the mail sent by Kumar and in a professional world it is not right for me to divulge
information to a player or reply his mail . As per his contract he need to correspond with CEO and not me.
Considering the circumstances and nature of the issue,nl earnestly request you to seek legal opinion in order
to reply Kumar's mail.
Any way under normal circumstances if any request is made and selectors give the nod the final NOC is
provided by you, so we need to treed very carefully to safe guard Sri Lanka Cricket.

I draw reference to a mail sent by you on 23rd December 2014. Please find my reply next
to Kumar's mail sent to me and copied to you, the heading reading Re: 2013
Champions League
I write with regard to the 2013 Champions League. - NOTED

It has come to my notice that a letter or email pertaining to my release to play for
my IPL franchise, Sun risers Hyderabad, sent to me just prior to the tournament by the
National Selectors was not delivered to me. If there is a letter to that affect in my
view Kumar need to source it out from the concerned National Selectors, since
he himself states that it was sent to him prior to the tournament.

I understand also that you were one of the recipients of this official communication and I
would like to request that a copy of the same is sent to me immediately.

Kumar indicated that I may have been one of the recipients and if so still it is
best that he obtains such from the person that has indicated or who has given
Kumar such advice.

Since, Kumar claims that it is of Official nature I presume that you too may
have received such a mail.
Trust that I have been very clear and appreciate if you may officially inform
Kuma~

I received your reply to my queries about the undelivered email and the points you raise are strange.
Firstly I do not say that the email was received by me but intended for me but seems to have been
suppressed before I got it.
Secondly I am mystified as to the fact that you say that even if you are purported to have received it that it
is preferable to you that I obtain a copy from the selectors.
My question is simply have you received as was confirmed to me by the national selectors an email
regarding my release for the said tournament and if so why are you reluctant to issue me a copy as it is my
right to be in possession of the same. As the conduct in this matter of the Secretary of the board Nishantha
Ranatunga and the Sports Minister was reprehensible and base and shameful I can only assume that you are
in some way partisan towards them in the execution of your duties .
I would like a detailed reply to my queries . Specifically as to whether you received the said email and why
you're reluctant or unable to provide me with a copy.
Otherwise I will have to take this matter up officially and legally.

Again I am confused . Why are you referring this matter to anyone else when I am as kin you a simple
question as to whether you receive an email to that effect releasing me to play for my chosen IPL Franchise?
Lasith Malinga was given the same release for the last edition of the Champions League and it was handed
to him. If you have received an email regarding me I want to clarify how it was not given to me in that same
manner. I am so very shocked and surprised that you're so reluctant to even answer my question directly
unless you have something to hide

Now that the chairman of selectors has confirmed the email was sent I will expect you to hand me a copy
immediately. If not I will have to legally ask for it from you.
Also as the chairman says an exco decision was pending regarding my release this raises some very
alarming questions.
Why does the exco have to decide upon which franchise I play for in the champions league? And why does
the email pertaining to my release have to be suppressed pending such a decision and then never handed to
me?
How did the Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga call and address a press conference on the matter or make a
statement to the press and tv on the matter? Especially since no such press or tv statement has been made
concerning other players who freely played where they wanted in the Champions league.
Why did the Secretary (chairman of selectors also backed this up) try to intentionally and publically cause
embarrassment to me and to unethically put pressure on me by saying I had to choose between money or
playing for the country when it came to the champions league when no such choice or question arose? Why
was there no such pressure put on or embarrassment caused by the secretary and the chairman of selectors
to other players playing in the Champions league?
Why was all of this done and then to save face the Secretary and the Chairman of selectors say that I as a
player was free to choose whichever franchise sri Iankan or indian that I wished? If this were true how on
earth can the Exco decide upon the matter as the Chairman of Selectors says in his email and how on earth
was the email releasing me suppressed and never given to me?
Alii can deduce is that you and all concerned including Nishantha Ranatunga and Mahindanada
Aluthgamage tried to intentionally cause me embarrasment and tarnish my reputation in the public arena as
part of a shameful and corrupt attempt.
This is reprehens ible but not unexpected from characters such as they,
I would immediately like a copy of that email you also have been party to.
