We spent January 7-17th on board OM’s Logos Hope with a great team from
Littleton Bible Chapel!
G od is so good! We have been so
awestruck by the way he
continues to reveal himself to
us, and we are very humbled and
overjoyed to have the privilege of
serving Him in a full-time capacity.
We kicked off our ministry careers
in a big way at Urbana 09. This year’s
theme was “He dwelled among us,” and
the focus was modeling ourselves and
our ministry after Christ’s
incarnational example. They placed a
major emphasis upon living and giving
sacrificially and the concept of
stewardship versus ownership.
God did some big things in our
hearts that week, and we realized that
in order to be focused and effective in
our ministry we needed to fully
commit ourselves. A very practical way
that we did that was, by the grace of

God, cutting ties to all of the “stuff ”
we had let define us. The temporal
things we had clung to for security.
Our house, our furniture, our vehicles,
everything that the world says we
should spend our lives fighting to
achieve. Now we feel that we can
enter this ministry unencumbered. We
have been reminded that none of it
was truly ours anyway.
The result of which is a drastically
reduced budget. We realized that our
whole mindset about the money side
of the ministry was, well, backwards.
We were focused on the dollars and
cents and our own “requirements”
instead of recognizing that, “God’s
work, done in God’s way will never
lack God’s supply.” We believe that
God has chosen us to do this work at
this time, and we will continue to press
ahead until He says to stop.

2010 S
MCYM Conference in Jasper, GA
January 24-29
MCYM is holding their first all-staff
retreat at a Young Life camp, and we will
be serving as “Work Crew” for them.
Ministry with MCYM throughout
Europe
February 6 - April 21
Assisting the efforts of MCYM Europe,
including several service projects, fill-in
ministry, and fulfilling various other needs
as requested.
New Hope International Retreat
June 18-21
New Hope International is the missions
organizations that we are prayerfully
considering joining. If we do, this all-
staff retreat would be our first official
event with them.
Haiti Earthquake Relief Work
July 1st? - Oct. 30? - TBD
The increased needs of this already
impoverished nation as a result of the
massive earthquake on January 12th
have been laid very heavily upon our
hearts. Please pray with us as we work
out the details of this effort.
South Africa HIV/AIDS projects
November, specific dates TBD
Assisting with various AIDS/HIV-related
needs along the eastern coast of South
Africa as we are part of the “chase team”
for a 400-mile fundraising unicycle ride.

Praise the Lord!
That we could sell our 2003 Toyota Prius
For providing a buyer for our home and our Safe travel to and from Atlanta, and
vehicles throughout Europe.
Safe travels thus far God would continue to make His way clear
A fruitful time aboard the Logos Hope to us
Peace in our hearts! The financial resources needed to continue
doing what God has asked us to do.
