Presence of Airborne Toxic Gulf Gases Confirmed

Appearing on the Alex Jones Show earlier in the week, pastor Lindsey
Williams said that gases Hydrogen Sulfide, Benzene, Methylene
Chloride, and other toxic gases pose a greater risk to human health
than the presence of oil washing up on Gulf of Mexico beaches. Williams
said the EPA is not reporting on the amount of gases escaping from the
BP oil gusher. However, the second video below suggests the EPA has
released data on the amount of Hydrogen Sulfide and Benzene in the air in
Louisiana.

On May 14 WWLTV in New Orleans ran a report on the levels of Hydrogen

Sulfide and Benzene in the air at that time. 5-10 parts per billion is the

established allowable amount for Hydrogen Sulfide. WWLTV reported that
on May 3 the level was recorded at 1,192 ppb. Pastor Williams said his
sources report the level detected in the Gulf at 1,200 ppb and the amount
poses a serious and even fatal health risk.

The media coverage of the BP oil disaster to date has focused largely on
the threats to wildlife, but the latest evaluation of air monitoring data shows
a serious threat to human health from airborne chemicals emitted by the
ongoing deepwater gusher, the Institute for Southern Studies blog
reported on May 10.

Pastor Lindsey Williams, who has been an ordained Baptist minister for 28

ripped through northwestern Ohio, residents are banding together to
provide relief for their neighbors while local officials fear little in federal aid

5.7 quake rattles nerves in Ca border region - SAN DIEGO- The U.S.-
Mexico border was rocked by a magnitude-5.7 earthquake Monday night,
rattling nerves in a region still recovering from the deadly Easter jolt.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered five miles
southeast of Ocotillo in Imperial County _ about 85 miles east of San
Diego. It struck Monday at 9:26 p.m. PDT.The quake was an aftershock of
the deadly Easter Sunday magnitude-7.2 quake that shook Baja California
and Southern California, said Egill Hauksson, a seismologist at the
California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. He said the epicenter of
Monday's quake occurred in the same zone of the quake in April.

China: Sudden Sinkhole Outbreak Raises Fear

While the Guatemalans are wondering if the giant sinkhole formed on June
1 in their capital city is an isolated case, on the other side of the globe, the
Chinese have discovered at least eight sinkholes that suddenly formed in
the past two weeks across their country, and many more have appeared
during the past two months.

The latest known sinkhole formed at 12:25 a.m. Beijing time on June 4, in
the middle of a freeway in Zhejiang Province on the nations eastern coast.
The sinkhole measured 20 feet deep and 27 feet wide.

...Later the same day, about 300 miles west in Nanchang City, capital
Jiangxi Province, a moving car was trapped when a hole about the size of
the car suddenly opened up on a main road.

On June 3, four huge sinkholes opened up in Guangxi Province where a

torrential storm was raging. According to Chinese state media reports,
more than 600 villagers had to be evacuated because of them.

Three smaller holes were found between May 27 and May 30 in
southwestern Sichuan Province, less than 80 miles from the Wenchuan
epicenter of the deadly May 2008 Sichuan earthquake that killed
approximately 80,000 people.

In Yibin City about 260 miles from the earthquakes epicenter, 26 larger
sinkholes have formed since April 27.

Toxic Oil Spill Rains Warned Could Destroy North

America

A dire report prepared for President Medvedev by Russias Ministry of

Natural Resources is warning today that the British Petroleum (BP) oil and
gas leak in the Gulf of Mexico is about to become the worst environmental
catastrophe in all of human history threatening the entire eastern half of
the North American continent with total destruction.

Russian scientists are basing their apocalyptic destruction assessment due

to BPs use of millions of gallons of the chemical dispersal agent known as
Corexit 9500 which is being pumped directly into the leak of this wellhead
over a mile under the Gulf of Mexico waters and designed, this report says,

to keep hidden from the American public the full, and tragic, extent of this
leak that is now estimated to be over 2.9 million gallons a day.

The dispersal agent Corexit 9500 is a solvent originally developed by

Exxon and now manufactured by the Nalco Holding Company of
Naperville, Illinois that is four times more toxic than oil (oil is toxic at 11
ppm (parts per million), Corexit 9500 at only 2.61ppm). In a report written
by Anita George-Ares and James R. Clark for Exxon Biomedical Sciences,
Inc. titled Acute Aquatic Toxicity of Three Corexit Products: An Overview
Corexit 9500 was found to be one of the most toxic dispersal agents ever
developed. Even worse, according to this report, with higher water
temperatures, like those now occurring in the Gulf of Mexico, its toxicity
grows.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in discovering

BPs use of this dangerous dispersal agent ordered BP to stop using it, but
BP refused stating that their only alternative to Corexit 9500 was an even
more dangerous dispersal agent known as Sea Brat 4.

The main differences between Corexit 9500 and Sea Brat 4 lie in how long
these dangerous chemicals take to degrade into their constituent organic
compounds, which for Corexit 9500 is 28 days. Sea Brat 4, on the other
hand, degrades into an organic chemical called Nonylphenol that is toxic to
aquatic life and can persist in the environment for years.

A greater danger involving Corexit 9500, and as outlined by Russian

scientists in this report, is that with its 2.61ppm toxicity level, and when
combined with the heating Gulf of Mexico waters, its molecules will be able
to phase transition from their present liquid to a gaseous state allowing
them to be absorbed into clouds and allowing their release as toxic rain
upon all of Eastern North America.

Even worse, should a Katrina like tropical hurricane form in the Gulf of

Mexico while tens of millions of gallons of Corexit 9500 are sitting on, or
near, its surface the resulting toxic rain falling upon the North American
continent could theoretically destroy all microbial life to any depth it
reaches resulting in an unimaginable environmental catastrophe
destroying all life forms from the bottom of the evolutionary chart to the
top.

Note: For molecules of a liquid to evaporate, they must be located near the
surface, be moving in the proper direction, and have sufficient kinetic
energy to overcome liquid-phase intermolecular forces. Only a small
proportion of the molecules meet these criteria, so the rate of evaporation
is limited. Since the kinetic energy of a molecule is proportional to its
temperature, evaporation proceeds more quickly at higher temperatures.

As over 50 miles of the US State of Louisianas coastline has already been

destroyed by this spill, American scientists are warning that the damage
may be impossible to repair, and as we can read as reported by the
Associated Press News Service:

The gooey oil washing into the maze of marshes along the Gulf Coast
could prove impossible to remove, leaving a toxic stew lethal to fish and
wildlife, government officials and independent scientists said. Officials are
considering some drastic and risky solutions: They could set the wetlands
on fire or flood areas in hopes of floating out the oil. They warn an
aggressive cleanup could ruin the marshes and do more harm than good.

And to understand the full import of this catastrophe it must be

remembered that this disaster is occurring in what is described as the
biologically richest waters in America with the greatest amount of oil and
toxic Corexit 9500 set to come ashore in the coming days and weeks to
destroy it completely for decades to come.

Reports are also coming from the United States that their government is

secretly preparing to evacuate tens-of-millions of their citizens from their
Gulf of Mexico States should the most dire of these scientific warnings
start to come true.

To the greatest lesson to be learned by these Americans is that their

government-oil industry cabal has been just as destructive to them as their
government-banking one, both of which have done more to destroy the
United States these past couple of years than any foreign enemy could
dare dream was possible.

But to their greatest enemy the Americans need look no further than their
nearest mirror as they are the ones who allowed these monsters to rule
over them in the first place.

Excerpt: The Gulf of Mexico will no longer be able to provide seafood for

America. America obtains approximately 40 to 50% of its seafood from the
Gulf.

This poison is also going to make it to shore and contaminate the

freshwater supplies of people along the Gulf. This will happen through a
combination of arriving oil and the fumes from the oil's VOCs (volatile
organic compounds); i.e.- benzene, methylene chloride, sulfates and other
solvents found in the fumes.

The poison will also be from the mix of the dispersants that BP is using to
break up the oil. BPs dispersant of choice at the moment is called
CoreExit. This dispersant is very volatile to marine life and to humans.

Oil is toxic in water at 11ppm ( parts per million). CoreExit is toxic at 2.4
ppm (parts per million). This means that CoreExit is approximately 4-5
times more toxic than the oil itself.
Amazingly, the US government is still allowing BP to spread this poison
dispersant into the Gulf. At the time of this writing, their use of CoreExit is
approaching 1,000,000 gallons!

The poison will also arrive onshore when the hurricane season begins.
Future hurricanes may very well send this poison water onto shore
through; storm surge, flooding, high winds, tornadoes, and chemical rain!

...Corexit is an extremely toxic chemical dispersant. It was favored by BP

over other alternative dispersants more ecologically friendly and with a
better track record, mostly for cost reasons. It is estimated that more than
870,000 gallons (3.2 million litres) of Corexit has been used so far, either
sprayed on the surface or released underwater-150,000 gallons (570,000
litres).
Dispersants rely on wave movements shearing the oil film mechanically in
order to refine crude oil into separate chemicals. This may have worked to
some extent on the Exxon Valdez spill of Alaska where waves are big but
in the Gulf of Mexico? Ever heard of a surfing competition in the gulf? The
waves are just not there for the dispersant to work.

Seven cleanup workers were hospitalized last week after complaints of

headache, dizziness, breathing problems and nausea. The workers are
said to have told the doctors, according to the medical centre sources, that
the chemical dispersant used to break up oil had made them sick. Doctors
believe the likely cause to be chemical irritation as well as dehydration
from working in the heat.

Sheets state that Corexit 9500 cause irritation when in contact with skin,

chemical pneumonia if ingested and irritation to the respiratory tract with
repeated and prolonged inhalation. MSD of Corexit EC 9527A states:
Symptoms of Exposure - Acute : Excessive exposure may cause central
nervous system effects, nausea, vomiting, aesthetic or narcotic effects. -
Chronic : Repeated or excessive exposure to butoxyethanol may cause
injury to red blood cells (hemolysis), kidney or the liver

....Know this: Most of the hydrocarbon chemicals extracted by the

dispersants stay at the surface. They are the first ones to evaporate
alongside water into clouds overhead that later fly over the continent and
provide rain to the southern states. We are talking about chemicals
causing cancer or kidney failure such as benzene and pretty much any
possible chemical that can be extracted from crude oil. These chemicals
would end up in water supplies, rain on crops, and eventually imbibed by
humans and animals alike.

The 2010 Atlantic hurricane season began on June 1 and The National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts 8-14 hurricanes
,14-23 storms, and 3-7 major hurricanes-the figures higher than normal
years.

During the next few hurricanes, extreme shearing at the surface of the sea
will boost the chemical action of dispersants which separate petroleum
chemicals and suddenly increase the concentration of noxious chemicals
evaporating from the spill. These hurricanes will carry this noxious cocktail
across the southern US and north of Mexico, polluting the water supply
and all that depend on it.

There's a big similarity between what is bound to happen and the

aftermath of Chernobyl. After the Chernobyl catastrophe a radioactive
cloud hovered over Western Europe and it has been recorded that many
forms of cancer went much higher than usual. This was never formerly
acknowledged by local governments.

Hindus urge Pope to lead interfaith dialogue

From One India: Hindus have welcomed Pope's call for inter-religious
dialogue.

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, on his Cyprus visit on Saturday,

reportedly called for dialogue between Christians and people of other
faiths.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said

that serious and honest interfaith dialogue was the need of the hour and
Pope should take the lead in organizing one.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, argued that Pope

Benedict, being the leader of the largest religious organization of the world,
should invite leaders of major world religions and denominations to Vatican
and initiate the dialogue. (R)eligion was the most powerful, complex and
far-reaching force in our society, so we must take it seriously. And we all
knew that religion comprised much more than our own particular

After intensive deliberations, this meeting of world religious leaders should

Countries line up to slam Israel at Asian security summit

Istanbul, Turkey (CNN) -- A conference called "Interaction and Confidence-

platform for the host country, Turkey, to condemn conference member

The conference, which began Tuesday, follows last week's Israeli

commando raid on an aid flotilla destined for Gaza that resulted in the

Turkey is demanding an international investigation into the incident, which

Natural Disasters Wreaking Havoc Worldwide

Jang Sou-ie, Arirang News: A wide range of natural disasters over the past
few days has wreaked havoc and taken the lives of many across the globe.
Over in Eastern Europe, a series of floods on Friday and Saturday has left
at least four dead in Slovakia with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico
describing them as the worst in a century. More than five-thousand
residents were forced to evacuate amid rising waters while traffic was
suspended and gas and electricity supplies disrupted.

In Poland, 20 were confirmed dead on Sunday due to the succeeding
floods with damage estimates reaching up to hundreds of millions of US
dollars.Swollen rivers in northern Hungary are expected to peak though the
situation is already bad enough.[Interview : Nagy Istvanne, Budapest
resident] "It happened so quickly that we could not pack up. Clothes
remained in the wardrobe. That is all. We lost everything we had. We
worked all our lives to lose everything."

And meteorologists project that the rain will not stop for several days in
parts of Central Europe.Meanwhile, over in the United States, a tornado
that swiped the state of Ohio killed seven while destroying at least 50
homes and severely wrecking 50 others as well as six commercial
buildings.

In the state of Michigan, storms and high winds ripped the siding off a
nuclear plant building causing it to shut down automatically.Around 14-
thousand people are said to have been without power in the area.And over
in Oman, despite precautionary measures by local authorities, Cyclone
Phet that hit the Arab country last Wednesday and Thursday took the lives
of at least 16 people and left four missing.

According to the Omani civil defense, most of the victims were Omani,
while one was Indian and another Bangladeshi.And the cyclone involving
winds of more than 150 kilometers an hour has moved on to Pakistan
killing at least four there.

Scientists find a 'hint of life' on Saturn's moon Titan

Scientists have found evidence that there is life on Saturn's biggest moon,
Titan. They have discovered clues that primitive aliens are breathing in

Titan's atmosphere and feeding on fuel at the surface. The startling
discoveries, made using an orbiting spacecraft, are revealed in two
separate reports.

Data from Nasa's Cassini probe has analysed the complex chemistry on
the surface of Titan - the only moon known to have a dense atmosphere.

Its surface is covered with mountains, lakes and rivers which has led
astronomers to call it the most Earthlike world in the solar system.

Organic chemicals had already been detected on the 3,200-mile wide

planet. But the liquid on Titan is not water but methane and the scientists
expect life there to be methane-based.

The first paper, in the journal Icarus, shows that hydrogen gas flowing
down through Titan's atmosphere disappears at the surface, suggesting it
could be being breathed by alien bugs.
The second paper, in the Journal of Geophysical Research, reports there
is a lack of a certain chemical on the surface, leading scientists to believe it
may be being consumed by life.

Ahmadinejad Stresses Need for New World Order

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday
called for cooperation among world states to forge a new world order.

"The conditions we are experiencing today need planning for new orders in
the world and (our) cooperation and co-thinking for organizing the
conditions," Ahmadinejad told reporters before departing for Istanbul,
Turkey to take part in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-
Building Measures in Asia (CICA). Reminding that major world and Asian
players will take part in the Istanbul conference, the Iranian president
underlined that "Iran, too, will have active participation in drafting the final
statement, taking stances as well as mutual consultations" with participants
in the conference.

North Korean envoy warns war could erupt soon

erupt at any time on the divided Korean peninsula because of tension with
Seoul over the sinking of a South Korean warship in March.

"The present situation of the Korean peninsula is so grave that a war may
break out any moment," Ri Jang Gon, North Korea's deputy ambassador in
Geneva, told the United Nations-sponsored Conference on Disarmament.

North Korea's troops were on "full alert and readiness to promptly react to
any retaliation," including the scenario of all-out war, he told the forum.

Iran ready to escort Gaza ships

TEHRAN, June 6 (Reuters) - Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards are ready to

provide a military escort to cargo ships trying to break Israel's blockade of
Gaza, a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on
Sunday.

"Iran's Revolutionary Guards naval forces are fully prepared to escort the
peace and freedom convoys to Gaza with all their powers and capabilities,"
Ali Shirazi, Khamenei's representative inside the Revolutionary Guards,

was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency.

Any intervention by the Iranian military would be considered highly

provocative by Israel which accuses Iran of supplying weapons to Hamas,
the Islamist movement which rules Gaza.

The Guards, with their own navy, air force and command structure
separate from the regular armed forces, are seen as fiercely loyal to the
values of the Islamic Republic.

Mutation of virus similar to swine flu resistant to drugs

AN INFLUENZA virus similar to swine flu has mutated and strains are now
emerging globally that are resistant to the frontline drug treatment Tamiflu.

Similar resistance has also been seen in patients with swine flu where
resistance to antiviral treatment can emerge in less than two weeks.

The antiviral drugs Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir) are a key
part of the Governments response should a swine flu pandemic emerge
here. Now scientists in California have shown how the ordinary or
seasonal form of the H1N1 flu can become resistant to antivirals.

The group, led by Nobel Prize winner Prof David Baltimore of the California
Institute of Technology, showed how a number of mutations have helped
the seasonal H1N1 to survive treatment with these drugs. They publish
their findings this morning in the journal Science .

The key mutation, known as H274Y, is not new and has been known for a
decade, Prof Baltimore said. Viral strains with it are able to survive
treatment with Tamiflu, but having the mutation also meant they replicated
poorly and were not easily transmitted, which meant they were not of
great clinical significance.

But during the 2007-2008 flu season, forms of H1N1 carrying the the
mutation began cropping up all over the world, showing powerful drug
resistance but also the ability to spread across a population, the
researchers said.

By the following season, virtually all seasonal H1N1 had become resistant
to Tamiflu.
