Purpose Driven Deception and Division

From Dr. Paul Elliott's Scripture Driven Church broadcast:

"...Rick Warren and his followers are posing as uniters, but in fact they are
dividers. The Purpose-Driven Church movement may be able to unite
unbelievers in an ungodly ecumenical cause, but it divides Evangelicals
who follow after it from the one true Gospel. It divides them from all of the
fundamental doctrines of the faith.

How is the Christian to guard against such deception? How are you going
to do it? How is your church going to do it?

We have the first indication of what we are to do at the very beginning of

Colossians chapter two, verse four: ―Now this I say…"―Now this I say…"
This is a transitional statement. Paul is reminding them of what he has
been saying up to this point. What has Paul been saying? He has been
saying that Jesus Christ is preeminent. He must be preeminent. If
anything, or any theory, or any person, or any movement, or any cause,
usurps the rightful place of Jesus Christ as Head of the church and Lord of
the church, then that thing, that theory, that person, that movement, that
cause, is absolutely wrong. Absolutely to be avoided. Absolutely to be
considered as worthless in terms of the things that count for eternity.

Now I know that those are strong words. But we need strong words today,
because the Bible uses strong words against such error. So many of us
have forgotten what it means to take a stand against apostasy. So many
have left their first love. In reality, so many who call themselves Christians,

so many who call themselves Christian churches, have forsaken Christ at
the most basic and fundamental level.

...In March, the Congressional Biomedical Caucus (of which I am a co-

chair) hosted a presentation on this technology by TSA, as well as a
briefing by Dr. David Brenner of Columbia University on the potential
health effects of “back scatter” x-ray devices. As Dr. Brenner noted in his
presentation and in subsequent media interviews, the devices currently in
use and proposed for wider deployment this year currently deliver to the
scalp “20 times the average dose that is typically quoted by TSA and
throughout the industry.”

Dr. Brenner has pointed out that the majority of the radiation from X-ray
backscatter machines strikes the top of the head, which is where 85

percent of the 800,000 cases of basal cell carcinoma diagnosed in the
United States each year develop. According to Dr. Brenner, excessive x-
ray exposure can act as a cancer rate multiplier, which is why our
government should investigate thoroughly the potential health risks
associated with this technology.

INCHEON: A US aircraft carrier set off for Korean waters on Wednesday in

a move likely to enrage Pyongyang and unsettle its ally, China while South
Korea recovered the bodies of two civilians killed in Tuesday’s shelling.

The movement of US aircraft carrier group comes a day after North Korea
rained artillery shells on a South Korean island. The nuclear-powered USS
George Washington, which carries 75 warplanes and has a crew of over
6,000, left a naval base south of Tokyo to join exercises with South Korea
from Sunday to the following Wednesday, a US officials in Seoul said. The
US and South Korea said the exercise was defensive and had been
planned well before Tuesday’s attack.

Pope says condom use 'first step' of morality for
prostitutes
VATICAN CITY – Pope Benedict XVI has opened the door on the
previously taboo subject of condoms as a way to fight HIV, saying male
prostitutes who use condoms may be beginning to act responsibly. It's a
stunning comment for a pontiff who has blamed condoms for making the
AIDS crisis worse.

...Benedict made the comment in response to a general question about

Africa, where heterosexual HIV spread is rampant.

...Benedict said that condoms are not a moral solution to stopping AIDS.
But he said in some cases, such as for male prostitutes, their use could
represent a first step in assuming moral responsibility "in the intention of
reducing the risk of infection."

He used as a specific example male prostitutes, for whom contraception is
not usually an issue, but did not mention married couples where one
spouse is infected. The Vatican has come under pressure from even
church officials to condone condom use for such monogamous married
couples to protect the uninfected spouse from transmission.

Problem, Reaction, Solution: “Crisis is an Opportunity”

In May of 2010, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the IMF,

stated that, “crisis is an opportunity,” and called for “a new global currency
issued by a global central bank, with robust governance and institutional
features,” and that the “global central bank could also serve as a lender of
last resort.” However, he stated, “I fear we are still very far from that level
of global collaboration.”[1] Well, perhaps not so far as it might seem.

The notion of global governance has taken an evolutionary path to the

present day, with the principle global political and economic actors and
institutions incrementally constructing the apparatus of a global
government. In the modern world, global governance is an inter-lapping,
intersecting, and intertwined web of international organizations, think
tanks, multinational corporations, nations, NGOs, philanthropic
foundations, military alliances, intelligence agencies, banks and interest
groups. Globalization – a term which was popularized in the late 1980s to
refer to the global spread of multinational corporations – has laid the
principle ideological and institutional foundations for this process. Global
social, economic and political integration do not occur at an equal pace;
rather, economic integration and governance on a global level has and will
continue to be ahead of the other sectors of human social interaction, in
both the pace and degree of integration. In short, global economic
governance will set the pace for social and political global governance to
follow.

China, Russia to drop dollar in bilateral trade !

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- China and Russia will stop using the U.S.
dollar to settle bilateral trade and instead use the ruble or the yuan, though
the move is not meant to signal a challenge to the dollar, according to
reports Wednesday. China's Premier Wen Jiabao and Russian President
Vladamir Putin made reference to the new currency trade pact late
Tuesday, following meetings in St. Petersburg that also saw the signing of
bilateral trade and energy-cooperation agreements, according to a report
in the state-run China Daily. "About trade settlement, we have decided to
use our own currencies," Putin told reporters, according to the report.
Earlier this week, China added the ruble to the list of currencies that can
be traded against the yuan on its domestic exchange.

The God of All Things...Really?

This isn't about the president...it's about mocking the God of Creation at
the hands of the Hindu god, Shiva, the god of destruction...

Our nation must look in the mirror and consider that we are sinners in the
hands of an angry God.

Petition Airport Crimes Against Persons

End airport abuse, humiliation by Thanksgiving

As the letter being sent to officials in Washington states, under the new
screening protocols, passengers are subjected to a virtual "strip search" by
being required to undergo a humiliating full-body scan, resulting in the
display of a graphic image of their naked body to be scrutinized by a TSA
agent.

If they choose to "opt out" of the full-body scan, they are forced instead to
undergo the same kind of aggressive pat-down that criminals and drug-
dealers get, including direct manual contact with their breasts and
genitalia. Children are not exempt.

While such degrading and invasive searches certainly violate passengers'

Fourth Amendment guarantee to be "secure in their persons … against
unreasonable searches and seizures," the generation of naked images of

minor passengers arguably amounts to the creation of illegal child
pornography.

Moreover, backscatter X-ray technology is known to produce radiation that

is potentially harmful to frequent fliers and airline crew members, which is
why the American Pilots Association, representing about 12,000 pilots
(including almost all of American Airlines' pilots) has strongly warned its
members to refuse the full-body scanning.

Exorcists Wanted: Apply to Catholic Church

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Wanted: a few good men to cast out devils.

Overwhelmed with requests for exorcists, U.S. Roman Catholic bishops

are holding a special training workshop in Baltimore this weekend to teach
clerics the esoteric rite, the Catholic News Service reported.

The church has signed up 56 bishops and 66 priests for the two-day
workshop that began on Friday, seeking to boost the small group of just
five or six American exorcists that the church currently has on its books.
