What are your solutions?

Look at the following cases. There is one clash (argument between people) in each
situation. Discuss in your groups and give the best solution.

Case 1:
The story happens in the Simpsonʼs with three generations living together happily. The
only disagreement in the family is between Mrs. Simpson, the grandmother and Jack, the
grandson. Jack is 25 years old and has a job as a lawyer whose future is quite promising.
He is dating Jenny, 1 year older than him, who already went through an unhappy marriage
with a 2-year-old daughter of her own. They really love each other and are thinking of
getting married in two months. But Mrs. Simpson strongly disapproves the relationship and
asks Jack to say goodbye to Jenny immediately or sheʼll move out. What can be done?

Case 2:
The second story is between a single mom and her daughter. Jackie has worked hard all
her life supporting and looking after her only child, Susanna. Things would be fine if
Susanna didnʼt decide to move out at the age of 18. Jackie found it hard to accept the fact
that her daughter was going to leave her alone in their house and move out to enjoy the
independent life. But Susannaʼs point was that she wanted to live her life and take care of
her life herself. Their argument reached the peak when Jackie threatened to die if
Susanna insisted on leaving. What can be done?
