Title: Programme Clerk


Grade: PSA contract
Duration: upto 31 December 2010
Duty Station: FAO Representation - Yangon

Job Role, Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Clerk provides information and operational assistance for programmes and projects of the
FAO Representation. He/ She works under the overall guidance of the FAO Representative and the direct
supervision of the Assistant FAOR (Programme), and in close consultation with programme/ project team
members.

In particular, the incumbent performs the following duties:

• Assist FAO Representation in obtaining GOC visa, UNDSS security clearance for incoming
missions, extension of the their stay permit and regular follow up activity, and arrange airport pick
up and hotel reservation
• Assist FAO Representation in preparing travel plan and obtaining security clearance from GoUM
and UNDSS for the local travel of International and National Consultant to the project areas
• Maintain files and update records related to project activities
• Draft e-mail messages, fax messages, office memo, correspondences with line ministries,
including preparation of statistics table as advised by the Representation
• Assist FAO Representation in the procurement process of the project inputs
• Assist FAO Representation in the recruitment process of International and National Consultants
• Assist FAO Representation in preparing draft LOAs and Contracts for the projects
• Carry out other specific operational tasks for programme/ project implementation as requested
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications: 1) Graduate Degree, 2) At least three years experience in relevant work,


3) Ability to cooperate with project team, 4, Fluent in English and possesses excellent drafting
capabilities, 5) Computer skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Work experience with
international organization is desirable.
