ARROW SHAPED BOX

This net is an arrow shaped prism.


Skills learnt in drawing the other nets can be applied to this shape.
Once again there is minimal measuring allowing the equipment to
position the lines automatically.
Remember that your drawing may appear larger on your paper
compared to the one on the screen.

Use A3 Paper
1cm border, 1cm name bar, 2cm indent.

Repeat the 30 degree angled lines for
the arrow head.
Open your compass to the length of
one side of the arrow shape as
shown.
Starting from the bottom right
corner of the arrow, mark off this
distance on the line as shown
Working around the Arrow shape
open the compasses to the next
distance, which is the back of the
arrow head.
Place the compass on the last mark
made and mark off the next distance
as shown.
Next, open the compasses along the
next side of the arrow, which is the
front of the arrow head
Mark this distance off along the line
Now you continue around the other
side of the arrow head.
Mark this distance off.
Finish off with the last two sides of
the arrow(shown in red on the
arrow net)

1. Home Work: Trace your net onto another sheet of
A3.
2. Fill in a design with the theme on recycling using
appropriate colours and designs. You can add a window
to your design also.Remember do not colour in the
glue tabs. Your design should be different from your
last net.
3. Cut out but do not assemble
