This week, we revised vocabulary teaching techniques , and we practised how we
teach new words to the ss. After teaching them, how do we know whether they learn or not?
Double check helps us here. Asking ͞specific͟ questions about the words, we should check the
ss. Later, we should give opportunity to our ss to practice and to produce the words. Games,
matching activities, role-plays, matching pictures-words are the ones I like most.

We also talked about lexical sets, which is about how we store words in our minds.
That is, we͛ll teach vocabularies according to lexical sets.

What I learnt from all these is that I have an order while teaching vocabulary. I am
also happy and more attentive now because when I meet a new word, I analyse all the
features of the word. If I don͛t know, how do I teach them?
