PROJECT BHOOMI
• is the project of on-line delivery and management
of land records in Karnataka.
• The Revenue Department in Karnataka, with the
technical assistance from National Informatics
Centre (NIC), Bangalore,
• A printed copy of the RTC can be obtained online at
computerized land record kiosks (Bhoomi centres) In
177 taluk offices.
• Operators of the computerized system are made
accountable for their decisions and actions by using a
bio-login system that authenticates every Login
through a thumbprint. A log is maintained of all
transactions in a session.
BENEFITS
• change in the way land records are maintained and
administered in the state, hence curtailing corruption
• The model has contributed to state treasury.(7-7.5
millions per month)
• a trendsetter for other e-Governance projects

A COMMUNITY-OWNED, SELF SUSTAINABLE AND LOW COST


RURAL INTRANET PROJECT
INTRODUCTION
 On January 1, 2000, Dhar district began the new
millennium with installation of low cost, self-sustainable
and community owned rural Intranet project.
 Computers in 20 village centres in ten Blocks of the
district were wired through an Intranet network.
 The computers in the network have been established in
Gram Panchayats which have been called soochnalayas.
 The Soochanalayas provide user-charge-based services
to the rural people. This Intranet system has been
named Gyandoot
SOOCHAK ( Manager/owner )
Not an employee but an entrepreneur.Has an initial one year agreement with the
village committee and dosnt receive any salary.

functioning of the project following steps are being taken :

exchange is having OFC and fair connectivity,
