FACT!!!
•Dry season this
year would be
much hotter than
a decade ago.
LEARNING ISSUES
• How long drought
season could be?
• What factor increasing
the temperature?
• What is the effects to
the plants if draught
season continues?
• What cause the land in
the village to dry?
IDEAS
• Due to human activities which lead to global
warming.
• Climate changes during that year.
• Green house effect.
• They lives in temperate region.
GLOBAL WARMING
• Global warming is
when the earth
heats up (the
temperature rises).
•  This hurts many
people, animals, and
plants.  Many cannot
take the change, so
they die.
•  It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon
dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and
methane) trap heat and light from the sun in
the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the
temperature.
EFFECT OF GLOBAL WARMING
•  Global warming makes the sea rise, and when
the sea rises, the water covers many low land
islands.  This is a big problem for many of the
plants, animals, and people on islands.
• Killing and harming algae when sea water
temperature rise. (algae as food source).
• Causing acid rain.
STOP GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!
Greenhouse effect
• Sunlight enters the Earth's
atmosphere, passing through
the blanket of greenhouse
gases. As it reaches the
Earth's surface, land, water,
and biosphere absorb the
sunlight’s energy. Once
absorbed, this energy is sent
back into the atmosphere.
Some of the energy passes
back into space, but much of
it remains trapped in the
atmosphere by the
greenhouse gases, causing our
world to heat up.
What factor increasing the
temperature?
• The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature
that the Earth experiences because certain gases in
the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide,
nitrous oxide, and methane, for example) trap
energy from the sun.
• The glass panels of the greenhouse let in light but
keep heat from escaping
• if the greenhouse effect becomes stronger, it could
make the Earth warmer than usual. Even a little
extra warming may cause problems for humans,
plants, and animals.
TEMPERATE REGION
• Temperate climate are those without
extreme of temperature and
precipitation (rain and snow). Such
region include western europe, in
particular the UK and western north
America at latitute between 40 and 60
degrees north.
What season do drought
occur?
Droughts can occur at any time of year,
although technically speaking, a drought is
measured over a long period of time. Some
areas that receive their rainfall in winter
may experience drought in the following
summer if falls are below average, while it
would be opposite for those who
experience main rainfalls in summer.
• Most droughts tend to occur during
summer, as the weather is hot and
water is quickly evaporated.
• Droughts can last for years in most
extreme cases. These types of droughts
effect outback properties and can
devastate crops and livestock. However,
many crops are effected. If a farmer has
lost his crop due to drought then he will
get no money to pay for the next
seasonal crop.
Caused by lack of rain over a
long period of time . If rain
does occur it usually isn't
enough for the ground to
absorb before it is
evaporated again.

What causes drought?

Where do droughts occur ??
• Droughts usually occur in hot dry areas of
land. In most cases the area is dry because
there is very minimal rainfall. The rain that
does fall will be quickly absorbed into the
ground or blown away by the dry air flow that
moves along the ground. Therefore the land is
very dry and not many things can live there.
