I did not get my economic check, i get ssi but was notified that I would receive my $250 by the end of May

In my opinion. During this crisis period. I (had) a job, like many others did. And for 6 months, lost my apartment, couldn't keep up with electricity, phone or cable. In the process of losing my car because I don't have the money to keep up on my carnote. I am almost 43 and thank GOD my mother still has her job and apartment. Guess where I'm at? I still have creditors calling me and I can't talk to them because I DONT HAVE THE MONEY! So, what happens here? Interests gets added on to it making it overly double. Now I am at about 70,000.00 in the hole, instead of 40,000.00. Now here is my view of the crisis. Lets say, I got a stimulas check of 1,000,000.00 that would help 1. because I am out of a job. 2. I'd be able to pay off all of my delenquent accounts and bills and make my creditors happy. And I would be stable for a while. But since that is not the issue, by 2010, I will be owing over 100,000.00 and it will still be building because I cant afford that.

what is this constant bail out and giving away money?!
how does this help anything? monetarily it will help people who are going through troubled times, but this does not create jobs and in the long run will have no effect.

people will sit around waiting for a hand out the next time something goes wrong. no one owes anyone else a hand out. obama needs to try and work on restructuring our economy so that big buisnesses have better means to supply people with jobs. good paying new jobs for all american's is what will save the economy. handing out money to any shmuck who thinks they deserve it because they are going through a hard time is ridiculous.

The Stimulas on SSI, I got 50 bucks taken off of SSI this month, I know about 20 other people that are on ssi and their SSI was cut 50 bucks, the yearly state renters rebait check was cut, that was 250 bucks we where counting on, I am still waiting on the 250 disability federal check, it looks like to me that they are just moving the money around so they can make money on interest, granted California went bankrupted this year

iam a single mother.the only income my family have is mine.my kids dad was paying child support but due to him loosing his job i havent seen a payment in a year.during the winter times it is hard with xmas being right around the cornor.to no that i have my kids will have heat all winter is a blessing because last year i was only able tp afford heating gas was during the time my town had a freeze advisory,during the remaining winter months we use space heaters. so to hear something like $500 foe heating is to much like a dream come true. if you only knew how many times i prayed last year for some kind of help

well i think from all these rumors i'm hereing about getting 13extra dollars added to your pay check every week that isn't going to work people need money now know if the government is giving money out to the struggling economy put it all in one package so everything could be taken care of at once the way i heard it is going to be it ain't going to work

i think the president could have stimulated the economey better if he would have just issued the people 5 to 10 thousand dollars each and let them use the money to buy the things that they need. in stead of giving it to them at 13 dollars a week . and he should stop the banks from their credit ratings. like many of us we have bad credit. but we make enough to pay 500 a month for rent . that would be better if we could put that into a house and have something to show for it. i would like to hear from someone on this just too see if i am the only one that thinks this way.

i understood that some of the money was to be used for medicade. unlike michigan which the govenor just said that she was going to move the money for medicade to other things to stimulate the economey. i was wondering how the president could let her do that when there is talk about cutting medicade benefits to people that really need them.

My husband and I are both retired, we are both High school grads, and we don't understand the Stimulas package, we have tried to sit down and read everything there is to read and we are still puzzled, are we that ignorant or is it the Gov. playing games with us? I try to keep up with everything involving our politics, but it seems to be getting harder. Why?

Its a sad situation indeed. It seems that the only resolve is to dump alot of money on the U.S. wheres it coming from?? lol ok.... from our pockets right back to our pockets. Pointless. Now yes relief but all temp. There are hundreds of things that could be differently done maybe 1000's fix these little problems and the big one will work itself out. Its sad indeed, that we need to do something about illegals. I like dudes form mexico just as much as many americans. The situation however needs a tightening on it. Its out of control. No one takes the reins so all the (excuse the verbage) low income low qualified workers miss out on vital jobs. And it goes all the way to the top as well 100 qualified persons inquiring about one job that they are overqualified for. the cycle is vicious, and endless. Also giving money to the general populace although seems to be a good idea. It will not however give us jobs. Its temp. So more debt.... So the worst part is the largest companies in our nation horde cash out to CEO's bonuses, and they even misused the last economic packages throwing themselves extravagant parties. PIGS! nicest way of putting it. In any other country riots would be an answer. We need people who have been sitting on thier hands living the sad lie of a life which is considered to be "the american dream" people who have been eeking thier way through life. to educate themselves, and quit being ditracted by imperialistic pleasures ie shopping, super bowl. We need the 50's again sadly. a bunch of narrow minded penny pinching well educated people in order to fix this. the whole nation has to be on board. That will not happen though.. Optimistic? no.. Realistic? Yes.
legalize drugs... ooh extreme...ly..taxable :P redo the transportation system. Get rid of gas cars that are recklessley driven by a bunch of crazies rushing to whatever. (im sure all of you know of someone whos died in a car wreck.) So answer? Trams... simple. economic. lifesaving. no deaths. just watch umm lets see Irobot. disregard the crash scene. Or minority report. sounds drastic? yes, but its a change that is needed. no more wrecks. no more deaths. new industry new technology. new jobs.. end of story. Another thing... Crime. changing transpogtation will fix alot of these problems. How are crooks gona drive themselves in a getaway car that cant... getaway? HAH crime reduction. ok next fix. monetary system. no more dollars no more cents. Make no sense? I will explain. How much do you think a penny is worth? how much do you think it costs to manufacture this useless coins that end up on the side of the curb or horded away in your sock drawer. lots of money.. unspent. these coins as a raw material could revitalize our exportable industry. Wed make alot more money that way. Moving everything to credit system. Another crime reduction. drug dealers? cant swipe a credit card to pay for illegal drugs. you might be able to fool the i.r.s. for a while. but not forever. Al...
