I would like to say this, instead of giving these big businesses millions and billions , Obama should have given each household 1,000,000 besides the rich. If he would have done this everyone would be taken care of: the auto industry would have gotten because people would have had money to buy cars. The realtors would have sold houses and people in forclosure could have paid their notes. The banks would have been making money because people would have put some in savings. Everyone could have won because we all would have had. The big businesses will be asking again. This cash for clunkers this is not benefiting us the ones who were laid off and can't afford to pay our bills. how is giving big businesses all the money helping the economy? Give to the middle class and lower class so we can all be happy.

In my opinion. During this crisis period. I (had) a job, like many others did. And for 6 months, lost my apartment, couldn't keep up with electricity, phone or cable. In the process of losing my car because I don't have the money to keep up on my carnote. I am almost 43 and thank GOD my mother still has her job and apartment. Guess where I'm at? I still have creditors calling me and I can't talk to them because I DONT HAVE THE MONEY! So, what happens here? Interests gets added on to it making it overly double. Now I am at about 70,000.00 in the hole, instead of 40,000.00. Now here is my view of the crisis. Lets say, I got a stimulas check of 1,000,000.00 that would help 1. because I am out of a job. 2. I'd be able to pay off all of my delenquent accounts and bills and make my creditors happy. And I would be stable for a while. But since that is not the issue, by 2010, I will be owing over 100,000.00 and it will still be building because I cant afford that.

what is this constant bail out and giving away money?! how does this help anything? monetarily it will help people who are going through troubled times, but this does not create jobs and in the long run will have no effect. people will sit around waiting for a hand out the next time something goes wrong. no one owes anyone else a hand out. obama needs to try and work on restructuring our economy so that big buisnesses have better means to supply people with jobs. good paying new jobs for all american's is what will save the economy. handing out money to any shmuck who thinks they deserve it because they are going through a hard time is ridiculous.

The Stimulas on SSI, I got 50 bucks taken off of SSI this month, I know about 20 other people that are on ssi and their SSI was cut 50 bucks, the yearly state renters rebait check was cut, that was 250 bucks we where counting on, I am still waiting on the 250 disability federal check, it looks like to me that they are just moving the money around so they can make money on interest, granted California went bankrupted this year

iam a single mother.the only income my family have is mine.my kids dad was paying child support but due to him loosing his job i havent seen a payment in a year.during the winter times it is hard with xmas being right around the cornor.to no that i have my kids will have heat all winter is a blessing because last year i was only able tp afford heating gas was during the time my town had a freeze advisory,during the remaining winter months we use space heaters. so to hear something like $500 foe heating is to much like a dream come true. if you only knew how many times i prayed last year for some kind of help

well i think from all these rumors i'm hereing about getting 13extra dollars added to your pay check every week that isn't going to work people need money now know if the government is giving money out to the struggling economy put it all in one package so everything could be taken care of at once the way i heard it is going to be it ain't going to work

i think the president could have stimulated the economey better if he would have just issued the people 5 to 10 thousand dollars each and let them use the money to buy the things that they need. in stead of giving it to them at 13 dollars a week . and he should stop the banks from their credit ratings. like many of us we have bad credit. but we make enough to pay 500 a month for rent . that would be better if we could put that into a house and have something to show for it. i would like to hear from someone on this just too see if i am the only one that thinks this way.

i understood that some of the money was to be used for medicade. unlike michigan which the govenor just said that she was going to move the money for medicade to other things to stimulate the economey. i was wondering how the president could let her do that when there is talk about cutting medicade benefits to people that really need them.
