EYEDROPPER TOOL (I)

- Use this tool to select a colour by clicking on the image, it will pick up the colour attributes at that point.
- The colour will appear in the front colour box in bottom of the tool pallet. Fig 6.2a It will be the active colour.
- The colour boxes can be switched bringing the back to the front and making it active by pressing the swotch arrow symbol. Fig 6.2a

- Basic paint tool, will paint in the colour in the front 'active' box Fig 6.6a.
- Double click on this box tp select other colours
- Great variety of colours and brush sizes and shapes to choose from. Opacity can also be set in the tool option pallette. Fig. 6.2b

- A simple eraser tool, different brush sizes and opacities can be selected.
- It will remove elements of a layer.
- If you erase elements of a flattened image or the background layer, the Eraser will leave you with whichever colour is to the back of the
colour selection box option. Fig 8.1a

- This tool is used to remove blemishes.


- Different brush sizes and opacity settings can be selected at the top left of the screen. Fig 9.1a
- Holding the [Alt] key, you select a clean area the image. Let go of the [Alt] key and brush over the bad area. This copies from the first
area to the second and blends with the new background. Fig 9.3

CLONE STAMP TOOL (S)

- Used in the same way as the Healing Brush Tool


- Hold down Alt Key to select area and let go to clone information and add to new location
- it diiffers in that it is a direct copy of the information from the first selected area to the second and will not blend with its new
background.
- Good to use in conjunction with the Healing Brush Tool and again different brush sizes and opacities can be selected in the Tool Options
pallet. Fig 10.1a
