Before Camp:
The 2010 Year 6 Kanachanburi Camp is arising, and students are becoming restless. The
camp consists of multiple activities like mountain biking, nature walk and photography,
and rock climbing. The excited Year six students will be leaving on Tuesday November
16th for four days and three nights. Welcome to Camp Year 6!
After Camp:
“The 2010 Year 6 Camp was amazing!” says Peach Sahasakul. Here is what other
students said, “Well, I really liked the Adventure Activities because they were exciting
and challenging. But, the hike was WAY too long. I liked how you could cool off in the
waterfall! Says Saloni Vipin, year 6 in Mr. Glenn’s class. “The highlight was defiantly
seeing Ms. Angela jump in the pool with her clothes on!” says Laura Kabbabe, also in
Mr. Glenn’s class. We miss you Kanachanburi Camp!
Movember
By Laura Kabbabe
“MOVEMBER, MOVEMBER, MOVEMBER, IT’S HERE, ANYONE WHO WANT’S TO PUT 20
BAHT TO ENTER THE RAFFLE? THE WINNER GETS TO DESIGN MY MUSTACHE”, Mr. Will
would shout to every class. After 2-3 weeks of the exact same words to every class,
MOVEMBER WAS FINALLY HERE!!!! Everyone was gulping on their lunch trying to finish
it in a rush so that they can get to outside the library. There were some kids shaving off
their hair and finally the time arrived and it was MR. WILL’S TURN! The girl who won the
raffle was Yayee from 4MB. She decided to make each side of his face a Y and a fancy
design in the middle. Mr. Will had to leave this interesting mustache for 1 week. “It’s a
good and fun way to raise money for those who have health issues”, says Nirvan Sinha.
“Mr. Will looks really weird, some people even forgot that it was Movember and told
him that he needed a decent shave!” said Peach Sahasakul.
Blogging
By Chloe Duval and Laura Kabbabe
“Blogging is good but bad at the same time. It’s good because everyone gets to share
their ideas in the discussion and contribute easier. It’s bad because some people’s
computers are slow, that way it’s difficult to connect to the internet. Sometimes it’s
confusing because problems occur and it causes disruption to fellow bloggers.” Says
Saloni Vipin. 6GD has been working on their blog for the entire school year so far, and it
is slowly progressing. “To me blogging can be kind of hard, it’s good that it’s challenging
because you can practice your computer skills. It’s also fun to see other’s comments!”
says Lauryn Srethbhakdi. Happy blogging!
