friendly spots to learn this activity. Surf
lessons are offered for around
P400/hour (P200 for the board rental +
P200 for the instructor) with
surfboard/longboard rentals ranging from

whole day rentals. For those who just want
to try it out with friends, you can split the
time with a companion and just opt for a
quick 30-minute session to reduce costs.
Hike to Tangadan Falls

The guide fee for hiking to Tangadan Falls
costs P500 per group , so it’s better to join
up with other travelers so you can split
costs. NOTE: Instead of hiring a tricycle
from San Juan (they charge P500 round
trip), you can ride a jeepney to San Gabriel
(P16) and then hire a tricycle to the start of
the trail (P30).

How to get to Tangadan Falls?

From the town proper of San Gabriel, there’s an easy and hard way of getting to
Tangadan Falls. The easy route is by taking a 30-minute motorbike ride to the trailhead
(P250/motorbike) and approximately 10-minute of descending trek to the waterfalls, this one
doesn’t need nor require a guide. The not so easy route involves an hour of trekking from
Barangay Duplas of San Juan, boundary of San Gabriel. It is generally easy trek along scenic
trail and river, a guide is advised for first timers, rate is P500 for a group of one to five person.
