Crystal phase I ammonium polyphosphates show a lower decomposition temperature and a higher water solubility. Phase II ammonium phosphates have a higher thermal stability and lower water solubility. Melamine derivatives can be surface treated with silanes' technology as per customer requirement.

These types are characterized by a variable linear chain length, showing a lower decomposition temperature and a higher water solubility than Crystal Phase II Ammonium Polyphosphate.
Crystal Phase II Ammonium Polyphosphates
These types show a similar cross linked/branched structure of very high molecular weight, with the "n" value always being higher than 1000. They have a higher thermal stability and lower water solubility than Crystal Phase I Ammonium Polyphosphate. By coating with different additives, properties of Phase II Ammonium Polyphosphate are modified, making them suitable for use in many applications.
Melamine based Flame Retardants
Melamine salts have proved to be excellent flame retardants for specific applications, either alone or combined with ammonium polyphosphates. All our melamine derivatives can be surface treated with silanes' technology as per customer requirement. Examples: Di-melamine orthophosphate, Di-melamine pyrophosphate, Melamine ortho- phosphate, Melamine polyphosphate, Coated Melamine polyphosphate, Melamine Borate, Melamine Cyanurate, Coated Melamine Cyanurate
