Obama: The First Two Years

By Mick McKenzie / Mick553

President Obama has been in office a little over two years and has accomplished so
much. The problem is, if he accomplishes much more the country will be bankrupt. I
recently received an email from someone and it reiterated many of the issues and so-
called accomplishments of the Obama administration so far.

In just two years:

Obama has taken the national debt from just over $10 trillion to over $14 trillion dollars
and it is still rising at an alarming rate. That is an unsustainable increase of $4 trillion
dollars of added debt in only two years. The national debt is growing at an astonishing
$4 billion dollars a day with over a billion dollars of that going to pay interest on the debt
itself. That is over a billion dollars a day in interest payments. Interest rates are low now,
what happens when they start to rise?

If you think that is bad, through his planned spending programs, Obama is proposing to
double the national debt within the next 10 years. He has set this country on a collision
course with economic disaster and if he is not stopped that is exactly what is going to
happen.

Obama took unemployment from 7.2% to 9.7% in less than a year and said we were on
the right track. Instead of focusing on jobs as promised, Obama spent the first two years
of his administration forcing on an unpopular healthcare plan down the throats of all
Americans.

Obama has criticized an Arizona state law that he admitted, along with others in his
administration, he never read. He then joined with Mexico in a law suit against Arizona
to force Arizona to continue to allow illegal immigration.

In a speech, Obama pronounced the Marine Corps as the Marine Corpse. Not that it
was intentional or even malice, but unlike what they would do if it had been George
Bush, the media simply ignored it. They would have called George Bush an idiot.

In the midst of a recession, it appears very likely that Obama used a forged document
as the basis of his decision to put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a
moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety
records of any industry in the world because one company had an accident. Look it up.
Obama is the first U.S. President to use a TelePrompTer to get through a press
conference. And then there was the time Obama felt he needed a TelePrompTer in
order to get through a visit to a kindergarten class.

Obama spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take his wife to a play in NYC at tax
payer’s expense. I know Broadway shows have gotten expensive, but this was
ridiculous.

Obama reduced the retirement plan's holdings of GM’s stock by 90% and gave the
unions a majority stake in GM.

Thinking he was being funny, Obama actually made a joke at the expense of the
participants in the Special Olympics. As usual, the media made excuses for him and his
humor.

Obama gave the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches. No
comment even needed for this narcissistic gift.

Instead of acting like the President of the United States, Obama traveled, and still
travels the world bowing before leaders of other countries and apologizes for the United
States. Maybe we should be apologizing to the world for him instead.

While visiting Austria, Obama made reference to their nonexistent "Austrian language.”
Odd, the media keeps telling us how smart he is and how dumb George Bush was.

Once elected, Obama filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who don’t
even keep their own income taxes in order.

In a speech, Obama once stated that there were 57 states in the United States. That is
funny considering how the main stream liberal media keeps telling us how “stupid” Sara
Palin is and how smart Obama is.

Obama flew all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the
Olympics would help benefit him, I mean the United States, at taxpayers’ expense.

Obama referred to "Cinco de Cuatro," instead of Cinco de Mayo, to the Mexican

ambassador, again showing the world how smart he is.

The main stream media completely ignored the fact that Obama misspelled the word
"advice" when years ago the media pronounced Dan Quayle a dunce for misspelling the
word potato.

Obama burned over 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day,
proving once again how concerned he is when it comes to energy conservation. I
forgot. He is a part of the political elite and like Al Gore, conservation does not apply to
him.

Obama actually allowed Air Force One to fly low over millions of people followed by a jet
fighter in downtown Manhattan. He had to have known that this would almost certainly
cause panic for many people considering what they went through on September 11,
2001. My question is, Is he that insensitive or is he just that “stupid?”

Obama failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest, which actually
had more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, and rather than report it
as in the past administration, the main stream media made into a major political issue
with claims of racism and incompetence. It appears that maybe the true incompetence
and the true racism here may lie within the media itself.

Obama created the positions of 32 Czars who report directly to him, allowing him to try
and bypass the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America today.
Sounds more like the Soviet Union than the United States, especially considering some
of his czars are admitted communists.

Obama and his administration illegally passed a national healthcare plan against the will
of the American people through bribes and backroom deals. They passed this bill in the
dead of night behind closed doors without anyone reading it, including Republican and
Democrat legislators. The American people were told that Congress would have to pass
it before anyone would be allowed to know what is in it.

Obama ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no
constitutional authority to do so.

Could you imagine if George Bush had said or done any of these things? The far left
and the so called main stream media, like NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, would have
crucified him. Instead they continue to look at Obama as some kind of messiah allowing
him to do and say as he pleases without questioning his motives. Instead of doing their
jobs as true journalists, they continue to go after conservatives like Sara Palin, the Tea
Party movement, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity simply because they don’t blindly
buy in to the Obama agenda like they do. They continue to write Sara Palin off as
“stupid,” although if she was a liberal they would praise her as the smartest woman to
come along in a hundred years.

The main stream media continues to falsely accuse Tea Partiers of being angry and
racists and they continue to mock Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity as being fools,
while they continue to spread their lies and propaganda disguised as news on a daily
basis. Most recently, they actually blamed Sara Palin, the Tea Party movement, Rush
Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other conservatives for the actions of a single lunatic in a
Tuscon, Arizona shooting. It is a very dangerous what is going on today and it is quite
reminiscent of the Soviet Union of years ago. If Obama had been around in the 1950’s, I
believe he would have almost certainly been considered a Communist and would have
never been considered a serious candidate for President. In fact, he would probably
have been run out of town.

So, what is it about Obama the media loves? There is no logical answer. He is a
socialist who does not believe in American exceptionalism or American capitalism. He
believes in the redistribution of wealth to those who are unwilling to work. He believes
that those who work hard and become successful should be penalized for their efforts
through higher taxes and more regulations. He continues to play the race card when
dealing with those that oppose his political views. Obama spent the first two years of
his administration dividing this country racially and politically in order to fulfill his liberal
agenda. He has never tried to reach across the political aisle, as promised, in order to
work with both Democrats and Republicans alike on issues that affect all Americans.
Now that the House is controlled by Republicans, he may have no choice but to reach
across the aisle, but it will surely not be to his liking.

The 2010 election was a result of those two years of bad policies and unsustainable
spending by the Obama administration and the Democrats. This election has hopefully
shown us that the American people are now paying attention and it will not be business
as usual in Washington DC anymore. Common sense conservatives were elected for a
reason and they were elected to go to Washington and start making true changes that
will impact this country for the better, socially and economically.

Americans were making a statement in the 2010 elections. There was a message sent
and that message was sent loud and clear. It is “We the people,” not “We the
government.” It is “We the people” are now demanding that we be heard. It is “We the
people” are now demanding economic accountability in government spending. It is “We
the people” are now demanding that our legislators adhere to the U.S. Constitution. It is
“We the people” are now demanding the repeal of “Obamacare,” that was passed
illegally through bribes and backroom deals. It is “We the people” are now demanding a
balanced budget. It is “We the people” are now demanding spending cuts to help lower
the national debt. It is “We the people” are now demanding lower taxes in order to help
stimulate the economy by creating jobs in the private sector and it is “We the people”
are now demanding that our elected representatives do what is best for the country and
not what is best for their own political ideology and agenda.

There is another election coming in 2012 and we must continue to pay attention to what
is happening in Washington DC, our State capitals and our local municipalities. We
must hold our representatives accountable for their actions. Remember, they are
supposed to be working for us. That is why we have elections.
