UNEMPLOYMENT

Poison for citizens…

“UNEMPLOYMENT” the biggest ever problem faced by any developed or underdeveloped country, and not yet end
today and to be a tough problem to tackle with. It is also a social stigma in which today’s youth are forced to
tolerate.

Students after successfully completing their schooling aspire to join the collages and pursue studies in the various
streams of courses available. After toiling and bearing the stress of studies for a minimum of 4-5 yrs, they have to
get themselves prepared to face the problem of unemployment.

Every year lakhs and lakhs of students pass out of engineering and medical streams and later they get
disappointment in return of not being able to find a suitable placement. The monster of unemployment motivates
them negatively to work below their standards. The problem of unemployment apart from creating scarcity of
money also creates a wide gap between the haves-haves not’s. It also drives the youth into depression and many
other psychological illnesses.

In India according to (NSSO) the rate of unemployment was rising alarmingly from 7.3% in 1991-2000 it has jumped
to 8.35% in 2004-2005, and according to the current source of information of 2009 its again increase to 10.7%,
which is considered really a tough problem to tackle with and this is because the working age population grew
faster than the total population on labour force.

In many cases as we see youth get into other fast ways of money-making such as gambling, races etc because of
not getting suitable jobs, which accelerates the growth of antisocial activities thereby directly resulting in the slow
growth of economic progress.

The government which stress on educating every child should see that every student is suitably placed to it. As it is
taking care to ensure all the citizens are liberate by implementing projects such as ( SARVA AHIKSHA ABHIYAN). It
must take care to implement similar projects to provide employment opportunities too. The IT sector they can also
be a part of it and ensure that aspiring graduates are suitably placed. Projects like ( JAWAHARAL ROJGAR YOJANA)
are often on pages but not practically implemented.

The government and NGO they should seriously look into the matter and take necessary steps to make the long
employment processes hassle-free, and create more and more employment opportunities.

Even the students should understand ‘AN IDEAL MIND IS A DEVILS WORSHOP’ and must be ready to work so that
they may keep themselves occupied all the time….

And at last we can hope for such a society in which every individual can live happily and enjoys equal economic
status and rights…
