History
As for as, the specific of
the architecture of “ Arts
High School” is concerned,
we remind that it is
integrated in the Mincu Style
similar to other simple,
functional buildings, with an
ornamental aesthetic
influenced by the Romanian.
The building has a symmetrical, simple
plan, it is massive, with the plinth and
the staircase of the main entrance made
of stone and the masonry is brick.
The façade is treated differently on the ground
and first floor; the central part is easily forwarded,
leaving behind the two side wings. The windows framed
in arcades are equally distributed taking as a reference
point the main entrance.
Between the year 1977
and 1990, the
architecture of
building undergoes
changes; meanwhile,
the activity in the
building ceases.
School is again opened
in the year 1990. In the
same year began the
work at the new wing
of the school.
Shortly after
beginning the
school year 2006-
2007, important
works are
undertaken to
strengthen and to
the mansard-roofing
of the school which
was built in 1911.
Over the difficult moments, school
managed to maintain its prestige, as a
results of competence and earnestness of
teachers and the effort and interest shown
by students. The teachers, no matter the
subject they taught, acted on behalf of a

prose or poetry. “The interferences between my
occupations is not my concern, I paint or I write, I
write or I paint the moment when from the
unknown, a thought, a line or a sparkle of colour
demand to exist trough me.” As a painter, she found
inspiration in the street show, in the fairs , popular
carnivals or circus ( “Masks” ; “ Old man” ; “Dance
from Oas” ; “Circus scenes” ; “Dancers” ). Worth
mentioning are also the still life , landscape and
portraits.
The collection of contemporary decorative art
housed by The Country Museum has two decorative
textile panels “Newly weds “ and “ Founders”, two
