• Several researches were done on how


ases of GBV were being reported at
institutions like police.
• It was discovered that some survivors
were not reporting cases at police.
• Reasons; fear, mistrust, it takes long, for
cases to be disposed off in courts of law,
attitude of some police officers, etc

• The issue is very important as it has


made the movement of the survivor
easier and simple
• It has brought serious tracking of GBV
cases

• Forming up the coordinated response centres,


• Setting up safe houses for survivors who are deemed fit
to safe guarded.
• Putting up awareness programmes, sensitisations
• Training programmes for law enforcing officers example
the police officers under VSU.

It is a three year project subject to review

• VSU officers have improved in case
management and have been recommended
• Reduced movements and expenditure for the
clients since the coordinated response team is
in one place
