PRAYER FOR THE NURSES BOARD EXAM

HEAVENLY FATHER, because you have said, “Ask and you shall receive”, I come
before you today to beg you to please help me with this most crucial examination I am about to
undertake, a test which means so much to me in achieving my goal in life.

Help me to understand and put to memory all the important concepts and principles I
need to learn as I review everyday.

Guide the examiners that they may construct their questions clearly, intelligently and
competently and that they may be able to check and grade my test papers correctly and fairly.

Grant me the guidance of the Holy Spirit that I may be able to interpret the questions as
the examiners do: that I may be able to see clearly the solutions to the problems; that I may avoid
superficial or wrong answers; and that I may keep my cool as I encounter seemingly confusing
choices or options.

As I approach the day with fear and anxiety, I also ask your intercession. O LOVING
MARY, that I may pass this exam as I keep in mind that every success I have in life I shall offer
in thanksgiving for the greater glory and honor of GOD ALMIGHTY.

Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. JUDE

To be said in cases despaired of St. Jude, glorious apostle, of Jesus, the name of the
traitor has caused you to be forgotten by many, but the true Church invokes you universally as
the patron of things despaired of; pray for me, who am so miserable; pray for me that finally I
may receive the consolations and the succor of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and
suffering, particularly (here make your request and that I may bless God with the Elect
throughout Eternity. Amen.

St. Jude, Apostle, martyr and relative of our Lord Jesus Christ, of Mary and Joseph, intercede for
us.
St. Barachiel

Through the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ, His passion, death and resurrection, all His
disciples are brought to a transforming union with Him. Through His transformation in love, the
soul becomes Christ-like. As such, every Christ-like soul becomes, by adoption, the child of the
Father. St. Barachiel is the Archangel who was assigned by God to keep watch over His adopted
children, taking care that He and the Choirs of Angels assigned to the task guard these
transformed souls in all their ways, bearing them up in their hands, "lest they dash their feet
against the stone on their way to their heavenly home." (Psalm 91, 12)
