SURVEYING INSTRUMENTS

Series110M
SET3110M . SET4110M Auto Pointing Total Stations

The time consuming sighting operation has now been automated.

Pointing, Measuring and Display of Result --- All can be done with a Single Key Operation!
Point the telescope approximately to the prism through the peep sight, then simply press the measuring key. The Series110M will automatically point and measure. The measured result will be displayed instantaneously. Automatic pointing system eliminates looking through the telescope. No focusing is necessary. Therefore, even an inexperienced operator can make accurate measuring. - Reduces Stress Eyestrain will be relieved, as looking through the telescope is not necessary. Survey work will be extremely facilitated as physical stress is relieved. - Automatic Pointing of Long Distance A distance up to 800m (2,600ft.) with a single prism and a distance up to 300m (950ft.) with a pinpole prism can be pointed automatically. - Automatic Pointing Made Easy Under Twilight Conditions The Series110M will accurately and quickly point to the object even under unfavorable twilight conditions at dusk or at dawn.

A MOTOR DRIVE TECHNOLOGY THAT MAKES HIGHLY ACCURATE AUTOMATIC POINTING AND POSITIONING POSSIBLE
- Equipped with Sokkias Original Drive Mechanism and Control Algorithm. A highly accurate automatic pointing and angle positioning are made possible, thanks to the original gear reduction mechanism and the control algorithm using angle information obtained directly from the angle-measuring encoders. - Jog Dial (Variable Speed Fine Coarse Dial) Equipped with a Fine /Coarse Variable Speed Jog Dial for adjusting vertical and horizontal rotation. The feed rate will be changed automatically depending on the speed of turning the dial. Positioning to the target point can be made as smoothly as with the manual total stations.

Efficiency upgraded, drastically reduces operator fatigue by eliminating the need for looking through telescope. Sokkias Series110M Total Stations dramatically improve the work efficiency.

- Self-lock, Free Rotation Mechanism Accelerates Job Efficiency. To enhance handling efficiency, the mechanical clamps have been eliminated and a self-locking mechanism is employed which automatically locks the telescope position. Also, the free rotation mechanism enables to freely rotate the telescope with hands.

THE PRINCIPLE OF AUTO POINTING

A laser beam for auto pointing is emitted from the center of the telescope. The vertical and horizontal line-CCDs located co-axially with the telescope receive the laser beam reflected from the prism and capture the beam position. The control unit instantly calculates the deviation from the telescope optical axis. Based on this calculation, the vertical and horizontal motors will respond simultaneously to align the sighting axis to the prism center. The high resolution line CCDs and the high speed processing capability enables to obtain a high accuracy of within 2.5 mm (0.1in.) for distances up to 100m(330ft.) and within 5 for distances beyond 100m. The safe, Class 1 laser beam will not harm the eyes.

THE GUIDE LIGHT SUPPORTS SETTING OUT

The guide light supports the alignment of prism to the telescope sighting line. The guide light will be seen as red when it is at right side, and will be seen as green if it is at the left. The center position can be easily recognized even at close distance as the two lights are emitted through a single outlet. The guide light can be seen for a distance up to 170m (560ft.). The brightness can be adjusted in 3 steps. The Class 1 LED is safe and will not harm the eyes.

A WIDE AREA AUTOMATIC POINTING

The automatic pointing search area is not limited to the inside telescope sight range. Even an inexperienced operator, who is unfamiliar with peep sight rough pointing, by selecting the wide search area,
1. [Within the telescope sight] Suitable for operators who is familiar with rough pointing. Speedy measuring is possible. 3. [Oblong] Suitable for surveying at a flat land.

can do accurate measuring. When operating the unit using a wireless controller from the prism side, the prism can be found easily by utilizing the various search functions.
2. [Wide] Suitable for inexperienced operators. 4. [Oblong, vertical] For measuring and setting out in places of large hight differences.
