CHzuSTUS St. FrancesCabrini Mr. Brown graduated from Dry Prong High School, Dry Prong, La. He attended Louisiana State University where he received his BS Degree in 1949and ME Degreein 1956.He was the owner of W.K. Brown Insurance Agency, Alexandria from I 960-1974; Representative for the State of Louisiana Grant and Rapides Parishesfrom 1960-1972; Rapides Parish Manpower Program for RapidesParishPolice Jury from 1974-1977;Stateof Louisiana Department of Education as the Special Assistant of of Superintendent Education from 1977-1984.He was a United StatesNavy Veteran of World War II; a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Associationof Retired Persons. He was precededin death by his parents,Richard and Irene RhodesBrown, Sr. and his elevenbrothersand sisters. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mae Foster Brown; daughter, Susan Chlotilde Brown Miller; sister-in-law, Chlotilde Foster Carlisle and brother-in-1aw,Leroy "Pete" Clark and a host of other family membersand many friends.
