Tutorial #4 CAD
Aim
Ideally, you will have attempted the CAD tutorial exercises prior to coming to the tutorial session, in order to make use of this time to ask questions on aspects you found challenging.

Preparation

If possible, students should complete the following SolidWorks exercises before attending the tutorial (Open SolidWorks Help SolidWorks Tutorials Tutorials by Category: Getting Started). Go through: 30-minute lesson Lesson 1: Parts (30 minutes) Lesson 2: Assemblies (45 minutes) Lesson 3: Drawing (15 minutes)

In the 50-minute tutorial:

1. If you have already completed the self-paced exercises and have questions, please bring them to the tutorial and discuss with the lab demonstrator. Make sure you know how to use SolidWorks for creating parts, assemblies and drawings before the tutorial finishes. 2. If you have already completed the self-paced exercises and have no questions, you can practise any of the other SolidWorks tutorials (Open SolidWorks Help SolidWorks Tutorials Tutorials by Category: All SolidWorks Tutorials). The recommended exercises are: Lofts Revolves and Sweeps

3. If you have not done the self-paced exercises above, start doing them and try to
complete after the tutorial in your own time.
