Taken From Ahlu Sunnah WalJamaah.Com Ahlus Sunnah & TheMurji’ah Regarding TheMaj0r Kufr Of The One WhoBelieves In Kufr, DesiresKufr, Desires To LeaveIslam, Desires To CommitKufr Through His Action &Believes In A Statement Of Kufr He UtteredBy Abdul Kareem Ibn Ozzie

This article has been written in order to refute the Murji’ah creed and because Ahlus Sunnah of today (the salafis) are accused by somegroups of Muslims as being the Neo Murjiah (the Murji’ah of thisera). Therefore this article should inshallah help to provide evidence that Ahlus Sunnah of today are free from the Murji’ah creed and opposedto it inshallah. The Murji’ah (or those that follow their aqeedah in this issue) claimmajor kufr can
only
occur if a Muslim
 believes in kufr,
desires kufr,
desires to leave Islam,
desires to commit kufr through his action,
believes in a statement of kufr he uttered
istihlaal of action or statement and istihlaal of belief inthe heart
(i.e. to declare an action or a statement to be lawful(halaal) as a matter of belief in the heart) though it is haraam inthe shariah
thakdhib (Falsification)
disbelieving with the tongue andheart together and
 juhood (Denial)
which is disbelieving by the tongue but not with the heart (i.e. a person knows Islam is the truth so hetherefore he believes in Islam as the true and only religion tofollow in his heart however whenever he moves his tongue(speaks) about Islam he claims it is a false man made religion which should not be followed. So he believes in his heart butdisbelieves by his tongue (i.e. his speech))
(Often manyscholars, students of knowledge and daaeeis (not all)refer to juhood and thakdhib as juhood only, but bythis they mean disbelieving with the tongue and heart together and not disbelieving by the tongue but not with the heart as I have stated above)

In this article the Murjiah belief of major kufr only through a Muslim
 believing in kufr,
desiring kufr,
desiring to leave Islam,
desiring to commit kufr through his action,
Or believing in the statement of kufr he uttered
will belooked in to.This Murji’ah belief is incorrect and is not held by Ahlus Sunnah of the past or present, the reason this belief is incorrect because majorkufr can occur if a Muslim
believes in kufr or desires kufr, desires to leave Islam, desires to commit kufr through hisaction or believes in the statement of kufr he uttered,h
owever it major kufr can also occur with out any of the above. Ahlus Sunnah hold if major kufr can only occur in the way theMurjiah have claimed above this belief necessitates that the one whodoes an action of major kufr if he did not
believe in kufr or desirekufr, desire to leave Islam, desires to commit kufr throughhis action or does not believe in the statement of kufr heuttered (if he uttered one) does not become a kaafir and thisincorrect.
Because when a Muslim does an action
willingly (fromhis
own free choice (i.e. was not forced)) and
knowingly
(i.e.desiring and intend to perform this action purposefully) which is anaction of
major kufr in and of itself
this necessitates takfir (todeclare a Muslim a kaafir) of the individual involved based on theconditions of takfir and looking into the barriers to takfir.
Ibn Hajr
said in Fath ul-Baree (12/373): “Amongst the Muslims arethose who exit the religion without desiring (qasd) to leave thereligion and without choosing a religion other than that of Islaam.”
Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah
in as-Saarim al-Maslool(p.178) said: “And in essence, whoever says or commits that which is
