BODYCOMBAT This fiercely energetic program is inspired by
martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. Like all the LeS mILLS programs, a new BODycOmBaT class is produced every three months with new music and choreography. Mondays 6:00 to 7:00 pm

CARDIO FITNESS - This 1-hour class varies weekly. Class format


alternates between Sculpt and F.I.T. each week offers a different format to help cross train your muscles and see results. Saturdays 9:00 to 10:00 am

ZUMBA - This popular class fuses Latin rhythms and easy to

ALL PROGRAMS RUN IN 8-WEEK SESSIONS AT THE OCTORARA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

YOUTH FITNESS
GIRLS ON THE RUN Girls, grades 3 through 6
September 26 to December 11 Girls recognize and celebrate their individual talents with this nationally acclaimed program that combines training for a 5K run with lessons that inspire. The culminating event of the season is a non-competitive 5K on December 11. Girls meet with trained coaches twice a week after school for 90 minutes during the season. Location: Octorara elementary School (5th & 6th graders bussed to OeS) Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30 to 5:00 pm Full Member/Program Member: $80
Some Title 1 sites may have reduced pricing thanks to a generous grant. Financial assistance is also available.

YOUTH SCIENCE Grades 1 through 6


Kids explore and discover the mysteries of science through hands-on experiments. Tuesdays 3:45 to 5:00 pm Full Member/Program Member: $50 *K-2 and 5-6 students will be bussed to the OeS.

ULTIMATE SPORTS Grades 1 through 6


Kids have fun and experience teamwork playing a different sport each week, including kickball, soccer, floor hockey, basketball and dodgeball. Wednesdays 3:45 to 5:00 pm Full Member/Program Member: $50 *K-2 and 5-6 students will be bussed to the OeS.

STRIDE - Character Development and Running for Boys

Kids tap in to their creative side through drawing, painting, clay and more. Thursdays 3:45 to 5:00 pm Full Member/Program Member: $50 *K-2 and 5-6 students will be bussed to the OeS.

Grades 3 to 6 September 26 to December 11 This fun fitness and running program gives boys a chance to share their thoughts and opinions about various life topics and develop character. Boys meet with coaches two times a week for 90 minutes and participate in a 5K run on Sunday December 11. YMCA YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Boys & Girls, Ages 6 to 11 - Hey kids! Get lots of playing time, develop skills and have tons of fun during YMCA Youth Basketball Leagues. Our leagues feature competition to challenge every childs ability in a supportive, family-oriented atmosphere. Players 6 and up practice one evening a week and play a game every Saturday. To increase competition, ages 8 and up compete against other YMCA of the Brandywine Valley Leagues. *Games played at the PLC full size gym Season Dates: November 7 through January 21 Early Registration Fee begins September 5 Full Member: $55 Program Member: $65 Registration Fee begins October 10 Full Member: $70 Program Member: $80 reversible jersey for ages 6 and up: $18 (required)

INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY Grades 1 through 6


Learn basic photography skills, as well as new techniques, to take better pictures. Kids learn how to mat and frame photos, and create an awesome portfolio. Please bring a digital camera. Tuesdays 3:45 to 5:00 pm Full Member/Program Member: $50 *K-2 & 5-6 students will be bussed to the OeS.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE TOURNAMENT


The YMCA Youth Basketball League features a tournament, for ages 6 and up, on Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January 30. Teams from YMCA of the Brandywine Valley branches that participate in the tournament will play 2 games on Saturday and possibly 2 more games on Sunday. All tournament participants will receive a participation award. There is a separate fee of $120 for teams to participate in the tournament.

Half-day and full-day programs are for infants to age 5 and provide a hands-on learning experience. Our program encourages social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

The Ys licensed infant and toddler program meets the need of each child in a safe, nurturing environment. Low child-to-staff ratio ensures that your child receives the individualized care your precious child deserves. Programs are offered 5 days a week, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

FULL-DAY PROGRAM - Ages 6 weeks to 5 years


Mon through Fri 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Students receive our structured program that prepares them for kindergarten, as well as games, crafts, centers, outside and inside play and more. Our goal is to encourage life-long learning.

Our certified teachers and nurturing staff set our preschool program standards high and give our preschool enrichment programs a structured academic base. These programs prepare students for kindergarten.
