॥ ीगण   ेशाम नभ॥
|| śrīgaṇeśāya namaḥ ||
Salutaions to lord ganesha the destroyer of allobstructions and bondages
जटाटीगाहऩाते गेऽ तां    ुजत   ुभाकाभ   ्
 jaṭāṭavīgalajjalapravāhapāvitasthale gale'valambyalambitāṁ bhujaṅgatuṅgamālikām |
With his neck, consecrated by the flow of waterflowing from the thick forest-like locks of hair, andon the neck, where the lofty snake is hanginggarland,
डभभभभनादभ  व ंचकाय चडताड ंतनोत   ुन शशभ   ्॥ १॥
ḍamaḍḍamaḍḍamaḍḍamanninādavaḍḍamarvayaṁ cakāracaṇḍatāṇḍavaṁ tanotu naḥ śivaḥ śivam || 1||
and the Damaru drum making the sound of DamatDamat Damat Damat, Lord Shiva did the auspiciousdance of Tandava and may He shower prosperityon us all.
जटाकटाहस ंभभनर  वयी
-
ोीचयीयाजभानभ  ू  वन।
 jaṭākaṭāhasaṁbhramabhramannilimpanirjharī-vilolavīcivallarīvirājamānamūrdhani |
I have a very deep interest in Lord Shiva, whosehead is glorified by the rows of moving waves of the celestial river Ganga, agitating in the deep wellof his hair-locks,
धगगगाटऩऩाक   ेकशोयचश   ेखय   ेयत तण ं भभ॥ २॥
dhagaddhagaddhagajjvalallalāṭapaṭṭapāvakekiśoracandraśekhare ratiḥ pratikśaṇaṁ mama || 2||
and who has the brilliant fire flaming on the surfaceof his forehead, and who has the crescent moon as a jewel on his head.
धयाधयेनंदनीासफ   ुफ   ु   ुयगसतभोदभानभानस   े
dharādharendranaṁdinīvilāsabandhubandhurasphuraddigantasantatipramodamānamānase |
May my mind seek happiness in the Lord Shiva, inwhose mind all the living beings of the gloriousuniverse exist,
कृऩाकटाधोयणीनध  वयाऩद चगय   ेचद  ंफय   ेभनोनोदभे   ु   ुन॥ ३॥
kṛpākaṭākśadhoraṇīniruddhadurdharāpadikvaciddigambare(kvaciccidaṁbare) mano vinodametu
vastuni || 3||
who is the sportive companion of Parvati (daughterof the mountain king), who controls invinciblehardships with the flow of his compassionate look,who is all-persuasive (the directions are his clothes).
 
ताब   ुजऩ   ुयणाभणबाकदक   ु   भदध  ू   ु   े
latābhujaṅgapiṅgalasphuratphaṇāmaṇiprabhākadambakuṅkumadravapraliptadigvadhūmukhe |
May I seek wonderful pleasure in Lord Shiva, whois supporter of all life, who with his creeping snakewith reddish brown hood
भदास   ुय   ुयग   ुयीमभ   े य   ेभनो नोदभ    ु ंफबत   ु  व   ूतबत  वय॥ ४॥
madāndhasindhurasphurattvaguttarīyamedure manovinodamadbhutaṁ bibhartu bhūtabhartari || 4||
and with the luster of his gem on it spreading outvariegated colors on the beautiful faces of themaidens of directions, who is covered with aglittering upper garment made of the skin of a hugeintoxicated elephant.
सहोचनबृशेषेखशेखय स   ूनध  ूधोयणीध  ूसयाऩीठब  ू।
sahasralocanaprabhṛtyaśeṣalekhaśekharaprasūnadhūlidhoraṇī vidhūsarāṅghripīṭhabhūḥ |
May Lord Shiva give us prosperity, who has themoon (relative of the Cakora bird) as his head- jewel, whose hair is tied by the red snake- garland,
   ुजयाजभामा नफजाटज  ूटक मैचयाम जामतां चकोयफ   ु   ेखय॥ ५॥
 bhujaṅgarājamālayā nibaddhajāṭajūṭaka śriyai cirāya jāyatāṁ cakorabandhuśekharaḥ || 5||
whose foot-stool is grayed by the flow of dust fromthe flowers from the rows of heads of all the Gods,Indra/Vishnu and others.
ाटचयनम   ुबा

नऩीतऩञसामक ं नभनामकभ   ्
lalāṭacatvarajvaladdhanañjayasphuliṅgabhā-nipītapañcasāyakaṁ namannilimpanāyakam |
May we get the wealth of Siddhis from Shiva'slocks of hair, which devoured the God of Love withthe sparks of the fire flaming in His forehead,
   ुधाभम  ूख   ेखमा याजभानश   ेखय ं भहाकऩासद    ेशयोजटाभ   ुन ॥ ६॥
sudhāmayūkhalekhayā virājamānaśekharaṁmahākapālisampadeśirojaṭālamastu naḥ || 6||
who is bowed by all the celestial leaders, who isbeautiful with a crescent moon
कयाबाऩकाधगगग

नमातीकृतचडऩञसामक   े
karālabhālapaṭṭikādhagaddhagaddhagajjvala-ddhanañjayāhutīkṛtapracaṇḍapañcasāyake |
My interest is in Lord Shiva, who has three eyes,who has offered the powerful God of Love into thefire, flaming Dhagad Dhagad on the flat surface of his forehead
धयाधयेननीक   ुचाचऩक
-
कलनैकशलन ोचने यतभ  वभ॥। ७॥
dharādharendranandinīkucāgracitrapatraka-prakalpanaikaśilpini trilocane ratirmama ||| 7||
who is the sole expert artist of drawing decorativelines on the tips of breasts of Parvati, the daughterof the mountain king.
 
नीनभेघभडी नध  वय   ुयत   ्
-
   ु नशीथनीतभफफकय।
navīnameghamaṇḍalī niruddhadurdharasphurat-kuhūniśīthinītamaḥ prabandhabaddhakandharaḥ |
May Lord Shiva give us prosperity, who bears theburden of this universe, who is lovely with themoon, who is red wearing the skin,
ननर  वयीधयनोत   ुकृस   ुय कानधानफ   ुय म ं जग    ु ंधय॥ ८॥
nilimpanirjharīdharastanotu kṛttisindhuraḥkalānidhānabandhuraḥ śriyaṁ jagaddhuraṁdharaḥ || 8||
who has the celestial river Ganga, whose neck isdark as midnight of new moon night covered bymany layers of clouds.

कठकीचफकयभ   ्
praphullanīlapaṅkajaprapañcakālimaprabhā-valambikaṇṭhakandalīruciprabaddhakandharam |
I pray to Lord Shiva, whose neck is tied with theluster of the temples hanging on the neck with theglory of the fully-bloomed blue lotuses whichlooked like the blackness (sins) of the universe,
यद  ं   ुयद  ंबद  ंभखद  ंगजदा ंधकद  ं तभ ंतकद  ंबज   े॥ ९॥
smaracchidaṁ puracchidaṁ bhavacchidaṁ makhacchidaṁgajacchidāṁdhakacchidaṁ tamaṁtakacchidaṁ bhaje || 9||
who is the killer of Manmatha, who destroyedTripuras, who destroyed the bonds of worldly life,who destroyed the sacrifice, who destroyed thedemon Andhaka, the destroyer of the elephants, andwho controlled the God of death, Yama.
अख  वअग  वस  वभाकाकद  ंफभयी यसाहभाध   ुयीजृ ंबणाभध   ुतभ   ्
akharva(agarva)sarvamaṅgalākalākadaṁbamañjarīrasapravāhamādhurī vijṛṁbhaṇāmadhuvratam |
I pray to Lord Shiva, who has bees flying all overbecause of the sweet honey from the beautifulbunch of auspicious Kadamba flowers,
याक ं   ुयाक ंबाक ंभखाक ंगजाकाकाक ं तभकाकबजे॥ १०॥
smarāntakaṁ purāntakaṁ bhavāntakaṁ makhāntakaṁgajāntakāndhakāntakaṁ tamantakāntakaṁ bhaje || 10||
who is the killer of Manmatha, who destroyedTripuras, who destroyed the bonds of worldly life,who destroyed the sacrifice, who destroyed thedemon Andhaka, the killer of the elephants, andwho controlled the God of death, Yama.
