ITALIAN EQUESTRIAN EXCELLENCE ARRIVES IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand (27/09/11) Equestrian sport is rapidly growing in Thailand and Asia generally, not only in terms of the number of participating riders but also in terms of the quality and standard of the sport compared to only a few years ago. This week marks a new era in the development of the equestrian sport in Thailand, with the launch of the best brands in the sport, which are now available in Thailand and in surrounding countries soon. All of the brands are proudly 100 per cent Italian designed and made. Each brand being launched represent the best in their category. The brands being launched are: Parlanti Roma custom made leather riding boots and equipment, Parlanti Passion handmade leather riding boots, KEP Italia superior riding helmets, Cavalleria Toscana equestrian clothing, and Action Class custom made stable interiors and accessories and luxury dog beds Veredus horse performance boots, riding boots and equine care products The brands are being imported and represented by Katrina Bignasca and husband Marco Valeri. Katrina is a passionate equestrian and experienced in the industry, after having worked in recent years with the best in showjumping, the Global Champions Tour circuit and Stal Tops both founded by Jan Tops, amongst other industry roles prior. The product launch will take place at the inaugural Presidents Cup to be hosted by Horseshoe Point, Pattaya in co-operation with the Able the Disabled foundation. The event includes a dressage and showjumping programme as well as a Country Fair and other attractions to satisfy the whole family, horse lovers and those who just want a unique day out. There is also a charity party to be held on Saturday 1 October evening with a country and western theme where Bangkoks elite are expected to be attending in celebration of the weekend of equestrian sport.

EDWINA ALEXANDER I was born on March 29th, 1974 in Sydney, Australia.I have been riding for more than 30 years. I had alot of success in Australia winning the Australian young rider championships in 1995. In 2006 my career took off by becoming the first female in the history of Australia to qualify for the final of the world championships in Aachen finishing 4th. After this I have achieved many Grand Prix Wins including Brussels, Valkenswaard, London, Zurich & Cannes just to name a few. I was part of the Australian world championship team in Jerez, Aachen & Kentucky World Championships and I rode in the Beijing Olympics finishing up 9th overall individually and team 7th. Since the end of 2009 I am the highest ranked Female showjumping rider in the World. I live with husband Jan Tops. In the beginning of 2011 I signed a multi year contract with the famous fashion house Gucci.
